I was quickly awoken by a bucket of water being splashed over me, the coldness of it made me jump as it shook me, I looked up to see Sam and Nolan looking down at me smiling, "Get the fuck up, were leaving" stated Nolan and the two left, I let out a slight autistic screech at them.
I headed upstairs to the throne room to see the emperor hugging Lord Duke narthel goodbye and good luck with his new position, all the woolfswood soldiers were leaving. I headed over to the Lord Duke and wished him luck with the future, "Well be meeting than I'd like to admit Mark, well hopefully anyways although the context of it may not be great" I simply laughed along and began getting ready, I was called over by the emperor who stated to me "Im heading to Ar Dágh to accept their surrender, remember, the whole kingdom you managed to capture by yoursel, so get your horse ready, we leave soon" I simply nodded and headed to the stable. After a while I headed to the courtyard and jumped onto my horse, I saw The Emperor and trotter over to him, once he saw me he was sort of exited to see me, "Everyone fuck of for a minute" he shouted, and everyone around obeyed and gave us a bit of room to talk discreetly, "Your not coming with me anymore, your heading to Navan with Nolan, spud, and Sam, I would give you troops but I can't send woolfswood soldiers out of our territory yet, so if you know anyone that could help yous then take em along", I was fairly confused as he never mentioned what I'd to do so I simply kept a straight face, "Go to black rock island off the coast of Macaroni island, I believe that General Wellington"....upon hearing this name I almost shit myself, I thought he'd been killed, or even fled somewhere really far away..."No doubt he will have guards or else mercenaries protecting him, so don't fail me" I simply saluted the emperor and trotter off over towards Spud, Nolan and Sam waiting at the courtyard gates for me. "Do. we've everything we need" asked Nolan, "Why do you care" Asked Spud with a smirk on his face, Nolan was pissed and said back "I'm only asking like fucking hell", I broke out laughing at how Nolans face dropped when he said it. We left the courtyard and headed through the half destroyed city, there were no more fires but some houses were still burned to a crisp, Soldiers and civilians were everywhere rooting through wreckage looking for body's, not even survivors but just body's. I wondered if Adriana had survived, not that the emperor would care anymore, but I wondered for myself because she was really decent girl, as we approached the city gates, a large wooden house was completely black and half gone due to fire, there were soldiers outside of it pulling crisp black body's from the piles of ash, god I hope she made it I told myself. We left the city and headed south to Navan.
As we rode along the southern road, it was extremely busy, many people were leaving kells and heading to Navan for a new start, all the while there people heading up to kells to find work, carpenters, smiths, academics and healers hoping to make big coin for there services, I don't blame them really though, just pretty big nosey to try make money off of others misfortune, they give a coin to those in need and somehow make five coins back. "Were gonna get Stuck here all fucking day" I said, Nolan agreed, "Fact, and the longer he lives then the longer there's a little more injustice in this world", Spud looked back confused, "What?" And laughed, "How the fuck did you not understand that" asked Nolan, he then added "Your actually retarted I hope you know that", Spud laughed, "Shut the fuck up", Sam and I began laughing, there was nothing more entertaining than when Noland and spud go at it, "Well anyways, we should a shortcut east, there's a small forest trail I know about and it practically ends at Navan" stated Sam, we all agreed to take the trail and we reached an entrance point to it five minutes down.
