We arrived at Carraíg, a small town about twenty minutes north of Dún, it was lightly defended by a small militia and stood no chance against the entire Woolfswood military, the town itself was very aesthetic, all the buildings made of wood and they looked beautiful, children played along the outside of the walls and merchants entered and exited the city gates, it would be a shame to have to burn the entire place down due to a stubborn honourable Lord, a party was sent to the gates to parlay, The Emperor, Sam, Nolan and myself rode to the gates where we were met by a tall bald Lord wearing dark red silk robes, he was accompanied by half a dozen militiamen, he had a horrible smirk on his face when we arrived, he spoke first "Welcome to Beág Dún, I am Lord Mitchell of house Gap", The emperor trotted right up in front of him, "Surrender the town and no one will have to die", the emperor had a stern and straight face, he wasn't taking shit, The lord just laughed at him, "And what? The Lord Duke of Dún will have me executed", The emperor finally broke and smiled, "I will march south, defeat the Dúns army and take the city", The Lord laughed loudly again and bit his lip, "You may aswell kill me now, The Dún army isn't in Dún", The emperors face dropped, before he could speak a courier on a horse came galloping up to the emperor at full speed, he gasped for breath and began to speak "Y..your Grace, I ride from Ar Dágh, the Dún army has taken the city" with these words the emperor turned back to Lord Mitchell, "Do you yield to town", the lord nodded to say no, the emperor drew his sword and swung for the Lord lodging his sword into his shoulder, Sam flung a dagger into one of the militia men's neck killing him, the remaining five fled back into the town gates and shut them, House Gaps banner few atop the tallest building in the town and it mocked the emperor, he turned enrage and rode straight up to General Losty, "General, Take fifteen thousand men and march north to Woolfswood, from there then march to Ar Dágh to protect the city and act a flank, I'll take the remaining twenty thousand and march straight for Ar Dágh" He then turned to the officers and began shouting orders and giving commands, the army was currently in a small jeopardy trying to solve itself out, i was beside the emperor when suddenly he gasped aloud, I looked to him and saw an arrow in his back, he slowly fell his horse and hit the ground, I jumped from my horse and tended to him, "THE EMPERORS BEEN HIT, RALLY TO ME RALLY TO ME" I shouted aloud, immediately dozens is troops gathered around me and the emperor and raised there shields to create a dome to cover us, I then heard from General Losty, "SHIELD, SHIELDS MEN, ARROWS", a few seconds later the sound of arrows smashing and hitting the dome of shields filled my ears, some men even dropped to the ground after being hit by the barrage, Sam rushed in and pushed me aside and immediately began tending to him using healing spells, I rushed out of the shield dome to see men upon men lying dead filled with arrows, The General charged up to me, and grabbed me, "congrats, you've been promoted to first officer, your now in charge of Army sixteen" I was stunned and asked back "Where's first officer Connor?", The general looked at the ground where my feet were and walked away, I looked at the ground to see First Officer Connor dead with an arrow in his right eye, suddenly another a loud "SHIELDS" cried out, I looked up to see the sky covered by a barrage of hundreds of arrows falling straight towards us, I picked up a dead soldiers shield and used it cover myself, once the barrage was over I threw the shield aside and drew my sword, "Army sixteen, rally to me, rally to me!!" I cried out, suddenly behind me a straight line of over six hundred men formed up with me at its head, I just charged straight for the city gates which was slightly uphill compared to where we previously were, I looked back to see half the army under the General quickly leaving the battlefield heading back to woolfswood, meanwhile the other half was in absolute dismay and couldn't organise itself due to half the officers being killed in the space of a few seconds.
