"Hey Eds!" Richie greeted cheerily.

"I thought I told you to stop calling me that?" Eddie asked, starting to eat his lunch.

"You know I won't listen to you." Richie retorted, starting his own lunch. Stan and Bill watched on in amusement.

Eddie and Richie bickered and fought through the whole lunch period.

"You guys act like an old married couple." Bill broke the ice.

Eddie sat shocked at what his friend had just said but Richie revelled in it.

"Aw, ya hear that, Eds? We gotta get married now." Richie threw his arm around Eddie and gave him an over exaggerated sloppy kiss on the cheek.

Eddie winced in disgust and removed Richie's arm from his shoulders, "No way in hell, idiot." He wiped Richie's spit off his face afterward. The four students made their ways to their respective classes for the last fifty minutes before they would be together again.

~~Time Skip~~

Nothing else had happened yesterday. Chemistry class was unusually uneventful. It even appeared as if Richie was paying attention, which was unheard of.

Today was the day of their first tutoring session. Eddie was nervous, but he couldn't quite figure out why.

"Bye mom! Remember I'm tutoring Rich tonight!" Eddie called as he left his house and made his way to school. When he got to school, Bill and Stan were waiting at his locker, as per usual.

"Are you excited to go to Richie's tonight?" Was the first thing that came out of Stan's mouth. No 'Hey Eddie' or 'What's up?', just straight to the Richie talk. Great.

"I'm neutral." Eddie said with absolutely no emotion as he slammed his locker door shut.

"It certainly doesn't sound like you're neutral." Bill said.

"Okay. I'm not looking forward to it. Happy?" Eddie asked grumpily.

"Why are you so angry about it?" Stan asked.

"I honestly don't know. He's just intolerable." Eddie lost the hostility in his voice, "Let's just forget about it for now." And with that, the three boys went to first period.

First period flew by faster than it ever had, and Eddie was once again arriving at math class. But this time, Richie arrived at the exact same time as him. They were going to push each other into the frame of the door, but Richie paused and gestured for Eddie to go first. Richie smiled, but Eddie was utterly confused as he walked into the classroom, hearing Richie's footsteps right behind him.

The two boys sat down wordlessly and neither of them even acknowledged each other.

Ten minutes into the class, Richie was starting to get extremely bored. He kept clicking his pen, over and over again, as he just aimlessly stared at the clock. Richie felt something tap at his shoulder, and turned to see Eddie looking at him.

"Some of us are actually trying to work you know." Eddie whispered angrily. Richie smirked.

"Yeah, well I'm not. Why, am I bothering you?" The smug grin never left his face. Eddie's eye twitched.

"Yes you are. Now stop clicking that pen before I shove it up your ass." Eddie said with finality. Richie could only stare back at Eddie in shock. This was new. But Richie quickly regained his regular attitude, and came back with a smart remark.

"Is that a threat or a promise?" He smirked and winked, but he turned around and actually stopped clicking his pen.

But that didn't mean that Richie was done annoying Eddie. Oh hell no, he wasn't even close to done with that.
