Summer POV

"It was worth it baby," Ryan yawns and I shake my head, irritated. After his small bit of sadness, I made dinner in hopes to cheer him up. We ate and I fell asleep after he promised he would fix one tiny thing then join me. But instead he fixed the entire house in one night. "The house is amazing, baby, stop being mad," Ryan pleads as he follows me down the stairs and I sigh, stopping in the kitchen.

This overwhelming feeling just sweeping my body causing tears to prick my eyes. "I'm sorry, it's just-" my throat started to clog up.

"I really wanted to help with the house," I whine as tears fall down my face and he wraps his arms around me. I know it's really nothing to cry about and Ryan has helped tremendously by finishing the house. But I really wanted to help. "It's okay, my beautiful chocolate drop, we still got the baby room to do together," Ryan assures me and I nod as he pecks my lips.

Inhaling a sharp breath, I wipe eyes. "Want some tea?" He asks me and I laugh at the concerning look in his honey eyes. "I'll be fine, but your kids and I are craving a cheese omelette with green bell-pepper and onions," I tell him sweetly while fluttering my eyelashes. He laughs, helping me sit at the island. "You hate onions," he tells me as he walks over to the stove and turns it on.

"I know, but I really have a taste in my mouth for an omelette with onions," I tell him and he chuckles. I hum as I watch him move around the kitchen. He was shirtless in his sweats and I watch his muscles bend and tense. A slight pout formed on my lips. It's no far. I had to give up my summer body to be blowed up like a whale. It's going to be worth it though.

"Don't forget my brother is coming over today," Ryan reminds me. My stomach falls to my back and the babies started to shift. I forgot I was going to meet a family member of his today. I wasn't expecting to meet any of them until this weekend. "Don't worry, you'll be fine," Ryan tells me.

I sigh, "I hope so."

"Here you go -- and don't start a fuss, I'm about to fix me something to eat right now," Ryan assures me as he puts the plate in front of me. I smile at him. "I just worry about you," I tell him as I begin eating the omelette. Ryan has a tendency to forget to eat and one time it landed him in the hospital, so I always keep an eye on him. He's my everything, don't know what I would do without him.

Ryan sits down next to me and I look over to see that he was eating microwaved waffles. I would protest since I'm eating a cooked meal and he just heated something in the microwave, but he is eating and that's all that matters. "So, am I still going to meet your family this weekend?" I ask and he nods, his hair shaking with him.

"We are also going baby shopping tomorrow, so put on comfortable shoes," Ryan tells me and I groan. "The babies have enough things," I tell him and he scoffs. "My children will never have enough things," he tells me and I cuckle. Leaning over, I kiss his cheek. "I told you one day you'd make a great father," I whisper in his ear the words I spoken some years ago.

"We ain't there yet, but almost. Are we going to host a gender reveal party?" Ryan looks to me with his big, hopeful eyes and I sigh. "I don't know, it depends on if your family likes me or not," I tell him the harsh truth. When we got together I lost most of my friends and my family really didn't like our relationship. None of my siblings or parents are on talking terms with me.

Ryan sighs as he takes our empty plates and go to wash them. "I wish things could've been different," he tells me and I look up at him as the tears start to brew in my eyes again. "If things would've been different then you and I wouldn't about to be married or growing a family," I tell him as my throat begins to clog up again and I burst into tears.

This was a normal thing for me. With my pregnancy I get extremely emotional and crave things. That's it. I don't get angry much, I'm either laughing or crying. "Baby, I didn't mean it like that," Ryan coos at me as his arms wrap around me once more. I only sob as he shushes me and kisses my cheek.

"I'm sorry, shh, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings," he says in a baby voice causing me to hit his shoulder. He laughs as I sniff and wipe my eyes. "You're an asshole sometimes," I tell him and he scoffs. "Little ol' me?" He asks in a southern accent. I roll my eyes as a knock comes from the door.

"That might be your brother, go get the door. I don't want any of your family members seeing me like this," I tell him as he kisses my neck on the specific spot and my body shudders. I don't know why he loves kissing that tattoo, but it always cheers me up or turn me on.

What would I do without my Ryan?

Xavier POV

Wiping my hands on my jeans, I wait for the door to open. I was hoping to see my beloved Summer before my brother would come and ruin the moment. The door opens and I was disappointed to see Ryan. "Hey man, come in," he invites me in and I step inside to see their home.

It was beautiful from the laminated wooden floors to the warm colors of orange and red. "How has your day been?" I ask him and he blows out a sigh. Running his hand through his hair, I couldn't help glaring at the action. My brother always had the best hair out of the two of us. It made girls flaunt their way to him everyday.

"I'm doing good today, but be careful what you say to Summer. During the mornings her hormones are all over the place so anything can turn her from happy to sobbing," Ryan tells me and I clench my jaw. It still bugs me that he got my mate pregnant. My mate. I know that he knew she was supposed to be mine and I bet he did this in spite of me.

"It's okay," I force a smile towards him as we walk to the kitchen. I saw Summer doing the dishes in a long, flowing yellow sundress. Her bushy, curly hair flowed midway down her back. I was in awe just gazing at her. "Summer, meet my brother Xavier," Ryan introduces us. Summer turns around my heart stops as I stare at her beautiful face. Her warming smile and those big brown eyes.

Gosh, if she was to ever ask me anything and I had to look into those eyes. I'd give her the whole world. "Hi, Xavier," Summer greets me with a smile as she dries off her hands. Gosh, her voice is so smooth and sweet. "Hey," I smile at her as she approaches me and I caught a whiff of her scent as her arms wrap around my body.

Raspberries and pomegranate. My wolf let out a growl inside my head as another part of her scent arises. My body tenses up. It was Ryan. His scent was deeper than her skin, it was in her bloodstream. That's unusual. Summer pulls away and turns to Ryan and that's when I saw the mark on her neck. How did he mark her? He can't even turn into his wolf.

"That's a interesting mark on your neck," I speak out as I watch Ryan tense up and she happily leans into him. "Yeah, it's a tattoo. It's been there for a few years," Summer says and I nod. "How'd you get -- I mean where'd you get it?" I ask her, fakingly switching up my words. Summer giggles as she holds onto Ryan's arm.

"You'd have to ask him," Summer kisses Ryan's cheek as he stood there awkwardly, "I was hammered when I got it, so the details are fuzzy to me." I nod at her confession as her face contorts to discomfort. "I'll be right back, have to use my bathroom," Summer says as she rushes off to the bathroom.

I sneer at my brother and within seconds I had my hand around his neck and he was pinned against the wall. His face was quickly turning red. "You piece of shit, you marked my mate," I growled lowly. "I'm... in love... with her," Ryan strained out and I removed my hands from his throat. "Doesn't explain much, how were you able to grow your canines?" I ask him.

Ryan coughs and gasps for air as I take a few steps away from him. I would kill him, but Summer cares too much about him and would hate me for it. She'd also be scared of me and that would be something I couldn't handle.

"I'm in love with her, okay. That night I marked her was the first time I had her body under me and it felt like paradise. I saw the moon cascading it's light on her body and her big brown eyes showed so much love, I was so lost in it all that I didn't noticed my canines had grown. I leaned my head down to her neck and within seconds she was marked. I didn't plan on marking her, but ever since then I have had my canines," Ryan explains to me.

He really loves this girl. I see it in his eyes when he talks about her, but I want her. She's supposed to be mine. I look up to him as he leaned against the wall, staring down at the floor. "How long have you known her?" I ask her and he sighs as he sits down at the island and I join him.

"Feels like I've known her my entire life," Ryan starts.
