As we walked to class, I heard familiar chattering behind me... JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!

I turned around to face the horrific shape that was Sarah Crawford. "Jesus! What do you want now?" I asked, clearly irritated with her. She glared at me. "I was just going to give you a gentle reminder to keep your ugly nose out of our business. We wouldn't want you to miss school now, would we?" She was clearly threatening me, why hadn't Asher spoken up? "What do you mean, don't ask questions? And why should I be afraid of you? Also, seriously? The ugly card? I thought you were better than that..." I shook my head as if she had disappointed me; I could feel Ash smirk out of pride for me. Sarah blushed, but quickly composed herself. "Look. I really hate you right now, and I'm just trying to keep you out of my life. So please, leave me alone." She sounded really serious, a strange thing considering usually Sarah tried to cause as much drama as possible. I don't wanna be mean, I thought, she sounds really desperate... but I can't promise that I'm going to stop questioning people around me.
