"Then let me get to know you." He replied calmly.

I felt my face go a deep shade of red. I tried to ignore it and replied as calmly as I could, "Okay... What do you wanna know? Ask away." He smiled smugly, clearly overjoyed I said yes. "Well... First of all, are you single?" I almost choked. "What?" I was extremely surprised. I mean, I knew I was going to get humiliated but, really? Am I single??? "Are. You. Single. You said I could ask whatever I wanted..." He said this still maintaining the smug smirk he always wore. I sighed. "When did I say that?" I didn't remember that... "Okay, okay. Maybe... you didn't say that but, will you please answer my question? You can ask me something just as humiliating after. I promise." He held out his pinky for me to shake. "Okay," I said reaching out shake his pinky. "So...?" He said. "Yes. I am single. Now time for my question! Why did you move here?" I was genuinely curious, I had wondered about this since I met him. "I-" He was cut off by Katherine, our waitress. "Anything else for you two?" She sounded more cheerful than last time, I didn't really acknowledge it. "No, can we get the check, please?" She nodded and walked away with my card. She came back shortly and told us to have a good night. This confused me, wasn't it still midday? I looked out the window only to be greeted with a sunset. "Oh shit. I am gonna be in so much trouble... AGH." Isaiah peeked around my shoulder. "What?" he asked coolly. "It's nothing, just it's the first day and I missed over 4 periods," I said laughing. We walked over to the car and sat on the top. We talked and talked until it was almost pitch black. The Denny's parking lot was completely empty, and it was close to midnight. "You ready to go?" I looked over to Isaiah, "Oh, yeah. I completely forgot about that." I said slightly laughing at myself. "Me too." He said also chuckling. "I don't really wanna go yet," I say slowly looking down. "Ha, really? I thought you'd be sick of me." Isaiah said smiling. "So did I." We started laughing so hard, I almost choked. " Are you okay?" He said putting a hand on my shoulder and getting up off the car still laughing. "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." I say laughing a little. After calming down a bit, I slowly look up. Our faces were inches apart, I caught my breath. His eyes were locked on mine. I broke his gaze. His eyes fluttered down a little, telling me that he was looking at my lips. Our eyes locked once more. He started to lean in, so did I. Suddenly, he stopped, he looked back into my eyes. In a whispery voice, he said, "Naomi... can I kiss you?" The question ringed in my ear. "Yes please," I said looking into his eyes, peaking in the same whispery voice. With that, his lips embraced mine. This kiss was even better than the first. As the kiss intensified, I leaned against the car hood, he started to lean on me. "Wait..." I say pushing Isaiah away. "I... I should get going. My dad is probably worrying about me." I look away from Isaiah... if I looked at him again it would be harder to leave. "Right..." I could tell he didn't want me to go but, if I didn't my dad would probably get a search party ready. "C'mon! You're right, it's getting la-" And for the second time that night, Isaiah was interrupted. This time not by a person, but by multiples cop cars and an ambulance.
