Chapter 5

(Alli's POV)

My head hurts.

I try to move but can't, so much pain. I'm on a cold floor, I can tell.. but where? I can hear breathing other than my own. Even breaths telling me that the person is asleep. Something inside me tells me that's good. I try to move again and can only manage to bring my hand to my head and hold it. It's wet and I'm scared that it's blood.

I try to recall my memory. I was in the car with Josh going to the diner. Everything was going smoothly. Wait. It wasn't. I was getting weird vibes. Yes, I remember now. I move my leg and hear something drag with it. A metal of some sort.. like a chain. I shudder and hear the person that appears to be in front of me shuffle. Josh wouldn't do this. Josh isn't like this. He'd never take me somewhere that I would not want to go.

The breathing starts to become uneven. Oh no, they're awakening. I'm too frightened to open my eyes.

 (Destiny's POV)

 It's Sunday, I hate Sunday's.

I feel like Sunday is the ugly red headed step child that no one wants. Sunday is the day I realize how dumb I was on Friday and Saturday for not doing my homework. I look over at my clock. 3:30PM. How did I sleep in this long? I reach for my phone. Two missed calls and a voice mail. The voice mail is from last night so I listen to it and it's from Alli.

'Hey Destiny! Thank you so much for covering for me tonight, so blessed to have a friend like you. Anyways, Josh should be here any minute! I'm so excited. This is our first official date. I'll give you a call tomorrow and tell you all of the deets! Chow!" I finish listening to it and smile to myself. I'm happy that she is happy.

I see that my other missed call is from earlier today and from Mellissa. I debate with myself if I should call her back and see what she wants considering how she treated me last night. I call back anyways. "Hey!" She quickly answers.

"Hey, what did you want" I say back flatly. I'm still not happy with her. "Well first I'd like to start off with saying I am so sorry about how I acted last night and I assure you it will never happen again." She pauses as if waiting for a response but I don't have anything to give her.

She brushes it off and continues, "Second, have you talked to Alli? We were supposed to have a spa day today. Well, earlier today. I had the appointments set up for 12:30 but I called her endlessly and got no response." She says disappointingly. "Last thing I heard from Alli was that she was gonna tell me about her date with Josh last night but I haven't received the call yet" I say still sticking to my flat tone with her. "Oh my god, you'e joking! Aaahhh! I had no clue about her going on a date?? Why didn't she tell me?? I'm so mad/ happy for her though." She cheers.

Crap. I totally forgot that I was the only one that knew. Too late now. "Mellissa" I say. "What?" she reply quickly and I can tell she is not amused by my tone. "You can't tell anyone she went on the date last night because it will get around to Gabbi and she would be livid if she found out that Alli went on a date rather than her party." I declare. "Oh ok, that's fine. I'll just say she was sick if anyone asked me." she replies. "That's actually exactly what she told me to say so kudos."

There is a moment of silence before Mellissa says something. "So, just give her call for me later if you don't hear from her. Tell her to call me and apologize for missing out spa date and not telling me about her date." She laughs. "Will do" I say going back to my flat voice as I remember about last night and hang up. My stomach growls so I go downstairs to eat. Not surprisingly, my mother is not home so i cook myself a grilled cheese and head back up stairs with it.

 .....

 It's now 8PM and i've been doing homework all day. Gross. I get my phone and check to see if Alli has called. I decide to call her now and see if she's ok. It rings four times and then goes to voice mail.
