last night was crazy. i couldn't stop thinking about those turtles. especially that one turtle. leonardo. i couldn't get him out of my mind. he seemed so familiar and i could have swore i've seen him before but when i was young.

but none of that mattered because i know i will never see him again. he probably would forget us after a couple hours.

i sat at the news station waiting for april to come out and at least say she was able to prove that she saw the turtles at the docks.

but when i saw her walk out of the door with her box full of stuff. that got me worked up...

"you got fired?"

april sighed and nodded before i shook my head in disbelief.

"that's bullshit! she should have believed you. you had all the proof right there!" i exclaimed as april nodded.

"i know. but she said i was delusional. so now here i am." she said carelessly before i sighed.

"what do we do?" i asked as she looked at the camera van.

"i'm going to ask vern to see if he can drive to eric sacks' home. i think he's the only one that can help me." she said as i nodded.

"i would join you, but i got some stuff to take care of in the house. so i'll see you later. let me know if anything happens." i assured as april nodded and they hugged it out.

i rammed through my closet, looking through the different drawings and pictures i had in my scrapbooks. all of them contained a picture of a turtle with a name.

as i scurried through the books, i came across one scrapbook with the name 'leonardo' in bold blue letters. i looked through and saw the turtle as a youngling. i then saw more pictures of me and brenda with my...older brother, chris.

he worked with sacks in developing a mutation that can cure an common disease. but he passed away before that dream could be accomplished.

tears welled up in my eyes and i traced my fingers over his face. i laughed sadly as i remembered that day vividly. brenda and i had just came from school and i wanted to look at the turtles. chris wouldn't let me go near them because they were dangerous. but when i petted one of the turtles, it allowed me to. just brushing it's head on my large finger.

he thought it was incredible. i say it was just the touch of kindness that helped. after that, i began to notice a streak of blue in it's shell and it reminded me alot of leonardo da vinci. he always loved the color blue. that's when i came up with the name.

leonardo.

i sighed and sniffled soflty before closing the book and cleaning up.

"hey-"

i screamed and blasted an energy surge at the figure but only sighed in relief when i saw leonardo at my open window doorway.

"jesus! you scared me!" i exclaimed as i took a deep breath.

"sorry. i didn't mean to. just came to see you." he said as i raised an eyebrow. "not like that! i just wanted to...you know...get to know you."

"well, you could have knocked." i said matter-of-factly as i placed my scrapbooks back in my box. "i'm sorry. how did you find my house?"

"um, i sort of, um, followed you here?" i raised my eyebrow in suspicion before i looked up at him.

"stalker."

"am not!" i shook my head before he approached slowly.

"what were those?" he asked as i slid the box back in my closet. "scrapbooks. from when i was a kid."

leonardo walked over to me and sat down on my navy blue carpet. my room was splashed with different colors. blue, turquoise, green, purple, black. i was a multicolor-type of person while brenda was an all-black type of person.

as he sat down, i pulled out the box again and i showed him the scrapbooks.

"i, um, found this one. when i saw last night on the roof, you looked so familiar. like i've seen you before but when i was really young. then when, the turtle you kept calling, donnie, said your name, i remembered. you were in my brother's lab along with the other turtles." i said as i pulled the scrapbook of little leonardo and showed it to him.

"wow. i look so young." he said as he flipped through the book. his eyes must have landed on a picture of my brother because he looked up at me curiously.

"who's this?"

"that's my older brother, chris. he worked in the lab that made you guys into what you are today. he was really trying to cure any common disease and thought you guys were the answer. but he died before he could even get the chance to do so." i stated as i met his eyes.

"i'm sorry."

"it's okay. it was a long time ago. i'm kind of use to forgetting about it 'cause it eases the pain." i admitted as he nodded and handed me back the scrapbook.

"leo."

"what?"

"my brothers call me leo for short." leo said as i nodded and pushed the box back in my closet.

"april and brenda call me el for short." i said as i looked back at him.

"thats a nice nickname." he said sweetly. i blushed and looked away as i pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

"thanks, leo. that's really sweet." we both smiled to each other before he excused himself. he stood up and walked a little closer to the window while he spoke.

"leo...now?...alright, hack her computer too if you can." was all he said before he looked back at me.

"donnie called me. he said that he needs you, brenda, and april. he's already working on april, you'll come with me." i nodded before i grabbed my cardigan.
