Thanksgiving Break............

I walked into the apartment and no one was home. It was freezing outside, why would Ty be out in this type of weather and why would he leave knowing that I was coming home for break? I haven't seen him in person in months and I was ready to lay in bed and cuddle with him.

After I took off a few layers of clothing, I turned on the heat and went into the living room to watch TV. While waiting for Ty to come home, I found myself drifting off into a deep sleep.

**********************************************************************************************

When I woke up, I found myself in bed under the covers and Ty was not in bed. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and ran water over my face. Then, I walked into the living room where I found Ty laying down on his phone.

"Hey, baby. Welcome home." he says as he pulled me in his arms.

"Hey." I kissed him. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too." He kissed me.

"What have you been up to?" I asked.

"Nothing much. Still chasing dead presidents. Thinkin' 'bout you."

I blushed. "I know you have."

"What do you have planned for tomorrow?"

"I'm getting my hair braided."

"Don't go to the Africans. They gon' pull yo' edges out." he jokingly warned.

I laughed. "I'm not going to the Africans. I'm going to my old hair dresser."

"Why are you getting braids?"

"Because I don't have anything to do with my hair." I say. "My head gon' be hurting."

"It sure is." He rubbed my thigh.

I loved the way he touched me. He made my body hot in all of the right places.

"Are you hungry?" I asked him.

"Yeah. What'chu gon' cook?"

"I'm not cooking nothing. I'mma go get something."

"Don't go to Popeyes. That's where I been eating since you left."

I laughed. "I'm going to Zaxby's."

"Alright."

I went into the bedroom and put on my gray joggers, my pink North Face jacket, and my tan Uggs. Then, I grabbed my phone, wallet, and keys and headed out of the door.

When I pulled up to the drive-thru, I ordered our food then I pulled up to the first window. Ha, and you wouldn't believe who was the cashier! It was Briant. Who would have thought that he would be the cashier working at the window of Zaxby's.

"Your tot--" He stopped mid-sentence when he looked towards my car. "Oh, hey."

"Hey. Didn't expect to see you here." I say still in shock.

"This is just my side job." he says as if he could read my mind.

"I don't have a problem with that. My job allows me to work during the summer full time."

He tilted his head with curiosity. "Where do you work?"

"I'm a dancer. I compete and win money and titles."

"Oh. Your total is $26.59." he says. "There's people behind you."

I fished a twenty and a ten dollar bill out of my wallet and handed it to him. Then, he gave me my change.

"I'll see you in school." he says then he winked at me.

I pulled up to the next window, grabbed our food and headed home.

It was funny to see that Briant knew that I was not interested in him, yet he still inteded on trying to make a move. I had told him plenty of times before that I didn't want to get with him, but he didn't listen.

One day while still in school, Briant offered to walk me back to my dorm after our study group. He was asking me all sorts of questions like, "What's your favorite food?", and, "Do you have a favorite color?". Then, that's when he popped the question.

"Will you go on a date with me?"

I squirmed when he asked the question.

"Um...Well, I told you that I have a boyfriend." I try to say friendly.

"I'm just a friend, but I can also be a ya' know a..." His voice trailed off and I caught on to what he was saying.

I shook my head. "Oh, no. Let's just keep it at a friendly level. Thanks in advance." I walked into my room and shut the door in his face.

I didn't do it to be rude. I did it to show him that he was going to stay in the friend zone. He was hard headed so he had to learn the hard way.

When I got back home, Ty was still laying on the couch on his phone.

"Bae, you won't believe who I just seen working at Zaxby's." I say heading into the kitchen.

"Who?" he asked following in my footsteps.

"This guy from school that asked me on a date. He works there."

Ty raised his eyebrows. "He asked you to go on a date with him?"

"Yes. I said no and I shut the door in his face." I snorted.

Ty folded his arms across his chest.

"I know for a fact that you're not mad." I said sternly.

Ty glared at me and I folded my arms across my chest and glared back at him.

I knew he couldn't resist my glares because he loved me too much. My glare burned through his skin and went straight to his heart. He couldn't be mad at me. He never had and never would.

He sighed and unfolded his arms, but I held my glare.

"Don't look at me like that, Ja. I'm not mad."

I held my glare, fighting to get what I wanted.

He ran his hands down his face. "I love you, Ja. I'm not mad at you."

Finally satisfied, I unfolded my arms and winked at him.

He hopped up on the counter and spreaded his legs allowing me space to stand between them. He then took the sides of my face in his hands began to kiss me.

"Ty, I don't want nobody, but you." I say pointing to is chest.

He kissed my nose, something that he knew I loved.

"I know you don't want him." He kissed me again.

"When I'm at school, all I think about is you, my family, my education, and dance."

"You tryna make yo' man soft?" Ty joked.

"Kind of." I winked at him.

I took my food out of the bag and handed Ty his.

After we ate, we dot in bed and cuddled with each other. Something that I missed doing when I got lonely in my dorm. I truly missed the nights that when I had a nightmare, he would pull me in close and stroke my back telling me that it was going to be okay. This is what was missing. The love of my life. I could get past it though. Ty would always be here for me. Our love was too strong for us to depart from each other.
