Zooming Forward to...Christmas Break
It felt good to be back home once again. This time when I got home, Ty was in the bed watching TV. He had been suffering for real. When I left after Thanksgiving break, Ty got really sick and Sasha had to go to the apartment and take care of him. I'm grateful that I have a stepmother that loves to take care of others.
"Bae, can you go get me some Bojangles?" Ty called from the bathroom.
"Sure." I got off of the bed and put on my black North Face jacket and my tan Uggs. "Bae, I'm wearing your hat."
"Okay."
I grabbed my wallet, phone, and keys and walked out into the snow.
It was a good thing that the snow had just started because if I would have came out any later, I would've gotten stuck. When it snowed in New York, it came all the way down.
After I got our food and got back to the apartment, I noticed that there was another car parked in one of our four spaces. Curious to know who it was, I hurried up the steps and unlocked the front door to our apartment.
"Baby, I'm home." I called out to Ty.
I walked into the apartment and saw that Ty was talking to an older man that looked just like him and an older woman that had the same pretty brown eyes as Ty.
"Well, hello everyone." I smiled.
"Hello." They responded warmly.
"Ja, this is my mother, Nicole, and this is my father, Kendall. Mom, Dad, this is my girlfriend, Ja'Nesha." Ty introduces.
I shook their hands. "It's so nice to finally meet the both of you."
"It's nice to meet you, too. We've heard many good things about you." Ty's mother says and smiles.
"I'm glad they were all good things." I say.
Ty and his dad walked into the living room, which left Ty's mom and I in the kitchen.
We began to talk about school and she asked me questions like, how long had I been dating and living with Ty, and, do I cook. That's when we got to talking about different recipes and I even learned that Ty made the best spaghetti anyone could ever make. I guess you learn something new everyday.
When Ty's dad came to ask his wife if she was ready to go, she and I were in deep discussion about Ty. I walked her out of the kitchen and into the living room.
Just as Ty's parents were about to walk out of the door, Ty's mom turned around and said to Ty, "Tyler, I think I found my new daughter in-law."
"I don't know what you said or did, but you got my parents just as sprung over you as I am." Ty said as he closed the door after walking his parents to their car.
I shrugged. "I don't know what I did either. Your mother and I were just talking about different recipes, you, and a few other things."
He raised his eyebrows out of curiosity. "What about me?"
I gave off a slight smirk. "Nothing serious. Just how you can cook the world's greatest spaghetti."
He shook his head. "I know what you're thinking and it's not going to happen. I gave up cooking a long time ago."
"Okay, you better start back cooking." I demanded.
"No can do, baby." Ty smirked.
I pouted.
Doing something I knew that he couldn't resist was my way of getting what I wanted.
"Bae, don't give me that face."
My eyes began to water, but I didn't let tears fall.
"Alright." Ty says finally giving in.
I smiled and kissed him.
After we ate, we fell asleep in each others arms.

The next morning, Ty and I went over my parents house to tell them the big news about Ty's parents being in town.
" 'Nesha, you know you have a competition on Saturday, right?" Sasha asked.
My mind completely went blank. I had totally forgot about the competition and I only had two days to prepare for it.
"Are you serious?" I got up off of the couch and went into my old bedroom and searched for my blindfold.
Once I found the blindfold, I went back into the family room to ask my dad for his car keys to his Impala.
"Be careful." he warned before handed me his keys.
"Okay. I'll see you guys later." I walked out of the house, got into my dad's car, then set off for the dance studio.
When I got there, I changed into a pair of black legging, a black sports bra, and a pair of jazz shoes that I left in my locker. After I got the key to the room that I would be in and signed off on it, I prepared myself to fail a few times, but win.
