Ceres

All morning was typical busy days for adults to take care of the whole pack and the safety of their kids as well. The men were divided into portion to do certain task that was given to them while some are charge on giving training for the teens. This time I was one of the trainers to see what kind of combat skills they have and to train them as well on how to deal with an opponent like a vampire. Vampires and wolves have different ways on how to fight and they must know on how to fight and defense like one. It was for their safety as well for the pack.

At first on handling this kind of task everyone wondered on how I will handle them and it wasn't that simple. But I knew that these teens wasn't ready on facing one powerful wolves, hunters, rogues, or even a vampire that's why I started their training by simple and basic – running. On my first time they don't complain about it since it was for their stamina so they could move faster than the other packs and they got that.

But now, as I kept the basic and simple training for them they started to complain because all they do was to run back and forth for 3 to 4 hours. They will repeat it if someone left behind since it was a pack, a team effort but that complaint didn't escape from my ears.

"HALT!" I told them to stop from their training that they all do and began to breathe then sat on the grassy ground.

"Is there any complain on the way I trained you?" I asked directly that made everyone looked at each other like they didn't know what I'm talking about.

Nobody wanted to answer my question since some of their mentors were watching us as well and they were smirking because they thought that I'm not training them well. Well, be my guest.

"Okay, let's try your own combat skills against to my training. So any volunteers?" I firmly told them that made them hesitated whether to try it on me or not.

Then a teenager in training stood up and come to me. I can sense that nobody gets along with her but I still nodded while smiling then I looked to the others and called one from them.

"He'll be your sparring partner." I picked the guy who I knew that was also complaining about my training method.

"And for you young lady, show them what my training meant." I calmly told the girl who volunteer and standing next to me.

When I called her, the other guys laughed at her especially the guy she's going to fight on. She looked frightened then looked at me but I just smiled at her with such assurance that she could do it. She doesn't like the idea but she just sighed in defeat. She also knew that she wasn't much of a fighter like the others but I know she can definitely do it much better than anyone of them.

"Begin!" I signaled them as they got in their positions and ready themselves but on the first attacked the guy took the first hit on the girl that made her fall down.

She's fragile but behind her eyes it was something else.

"Again." I told them to fight again as I watched them carefully this time.

The girl kept on dodging so smoothly when she sprinted like she was a wind that made the guy's attempts kept on failing. I nodded on how calm she was even she was facing a well-trained wolf.

"Watch your opponent and every movement he made then start to feel everything around you. Find the difference." I said while they were kept fighting and the girl this time was indeed following my instructions.

She dodged as she studied her opponent and took opportunity to counter the guy's attack with my training moves.

"Good. Analyze his moves. Thinking carefully but surely; you can be aggressive like he is but think. On every move you're going to make, make sure everything counts. Make sure your hit will bring your opponent knocked out or stunned." I taught her that made her got her groove with my guidance and she was doing great over it.
