After the link has been cut, I looked into the grandfather's clock hanging on the wall and it was time for the kids to eat lunch. I called for them for us to eat and prepare them for early training. They have to mold in this early stage for them to grow strong than anyone could be.
"Mom, are you going to watch us train?" Alicia started to ask me while eating her raw steak.
"Yes." I replied as I took a sip from my bloody tumbler.
"How about teaching us?" Alison asked me while her mouth was slight full of veggies.
"No." I replied while smiling on how curious my girls are.
"Why?" Alicia asked me as she took a sip from the sweet blood that I made before we left the pack.
"My training was more complicated for you to handle that's why you need to learn the simple and basic skills before you can keep up with the adults." I responded while studying on how they come up with such curious questions.
"Hmm, okay." They both said as they continued to eat while they others on the table was so fascinated on how these kids asked me directly blunt toward the things they're interested on.
"Mom, where's Mommy?" Alicia asked me as she took orange flavor ice cream that the other member brought from their travel.
"She'll be with us by night. She just need to handle things on the pack before coming here." I replied that put a smile onto my lips while I munching the stake on my mouth.
"Why we left the pack anyway?" Alison asked as she took a 10 pieces of cherries as for her desert.
"Some were not ready to face the changes that was already going on in the pack." I answered that made studied Alison's movement as she ate her cherries.
"Why?" Alicia asked as kept eating her ice cream.
Seriously, these kids were asking too much that made me wondered to where they get that attitude. They were curious too much about things that new to them.
"Well, some of them are still in old fashion and don't easily take the changes that was happening in their lives especially in this time of age. So, anymore questions?" I chuckled as I replied to their questions before I took a sip from my blood again.
"Nothing more, Mom" they both replied to me in choro.
I almost choked from drinking when they answered me in sync; they were like a twin. When I thought of that, I finally get what was starting in between them but still, they were kids and I bet it might change as they both grow up.
Anyway, after we all ate our lunch, I let the kids relaxed and played for a bit since their training was not the typical training of a vampire or a wolf. I watched them carefully as I think of what was the best training for these two kids whom I felt they were special. They felt like they were blessed by the goddess itself.
'One up beat melody, a silent dance was made. Caught up in the rhythm to realize it's important.'
In my deepest thought, I suddenly heard the friendly advice of the goddess whispered through my ears that made me grinned. From those words from the goddess, I knew what I must teach those kids. I stood up from my chair and when colleagues. It's time for training. I called Rupert and the Half Twins to meet me at the open ground behind the house while the others watched us.
"Andrei, teach them about strength and power while for you Amber, you should teach them about speed and stamina. Don't ever hesitate let them feel the real thing." I told the half siblings that they both agreed since that was their best skills whenever it comes to basic needs of survival.
"Rupert, you will be teaching them on how to survive on different creatures as well with humans or hunters." I said that made Rupert sighed as he shook his head while smiling since he knew that I will be teaching the kids the worst combat for survival between life and death scenario.
I'm really good on deal that stuffs.
I left them so I could call the kids who were playing scrabble with the other kids.
"Alicia; Alison, come with me. You'll be in training with them." I told the kids as we went to the backyard to meet the three.
At first, I could feel their hesitation but when I put my hand on their heads, they already knew what they new to do since its for them.
"Learn the basic and let's how you'll deal with the real thing afterwards." I told the kids that were loud enough to be heard by everyone in the sanctuary.
"And where you going, Mom?" Alicia asked as she noticed that I won't be watching them.
"Run. I must check the perimeter." I answered while smiling at them since I want to assured them that they could do it.
I nodded to my friends as I left the kids in their hands for their training. I took some run around the perimeter and it was same - untouched. Everything was not bothered by anything until felt the rage coming from my mate. I looked at my watch and there were I realized that I've been running for almost 4 hours. I glanced up throughout the sky and it was getting dark even it was just 5. I run back to the house and they were still doing it since the girls doesn't want to give up facing the half siblings.
I halted and climbed up to the pine tree to watch them carefully. I watch them on how much combat skills they knew even they were just kids.
Alicia watched them carefully like a sly vampire would do while Alison stood her ground as she prepared herself for any attack coming from their two opponents. They were very careful and observing at the same time, they were taking their time to learn some moves from their opponents.
"Clever." I mumbled as I try to ignore Frizabelle's wrath toward her pack.
Andrei launched toward Allison instead of Alicia. But Allison was prepared for it yet she didn't anticipate that Amber was there to counter her defense since Amber knew how to hide her presence. Alicia used her vampire speed to face Amber's before it could hit Allison. These two can keep up with the speed and the attacks of the adults but I knew it wasn't enough since those Half Twins wasn't giving their full percent since it was their first trial in combat. Each counter they've exchanged were tied but I could tell who really won in this sparing. Jumped down from the tree to meet them and stopped the match.
"Half Twins won this battle." I declared that made the girls whined and made the others laughed.
"Good tactics but still have weak stamina. You two easily out of breath and one wrong move both of you died already." I explained to them calmly that made the nodded in understanding until they're both tummy began to complain.
We all laughed when we heard that. As we all went back inside, the others were already prepared the dinner that made the kids run to the dinning area to take their seats but one adult stopped them. They were told to wash hands and clean up first before having meals. The kids whined but still followed and when they were done, we all eat our dinner in such laughter as we talked about our travels.
