I THE SCENTS: Chocolate Mint [sequel of Bloody Chocolate]

Ceres

Before we left the Arc Howl pack, I taught the Alpha on being lay low pack to hide who they are aside the new scent they have now. I even told him to keep doing what their daily routine was and if some rogue came, just let them be and show them how weak your pack was. At first the Alpha didn't agree but it was for their safety and they all stayed in one house before we go on our way.

On our way home, by the road, the sky started to get cloudy and about to rain since its rumbling with thunder. It was a fine ride but I suddenly started to sweat and I felt my blood was boiling like something was about to happen or worst to Frizabelle. I was uneasy by it. My companion noticed my uneasiness until I heard something within the woods that made me halted Nathaniel from driving.

"WHAT IS IT? Luna?" Nathaniel asked me after hitting the break suddenly that made us stopped in the middle of the lightless road as the rain began to pour heavily.

I don't know what's gotten into me. All I think about is I need to run into the woods and let my companion to stay alerted.

"Just wait here and be alert. I'm gonna look somewhere...stay here please." I told them in my worried face that made them worried as well but nodded since they were only teenagers.

It was raining heavily when I got out of the car and I felt the pain began to occur even in heat from my boiling blood but I'm not horny or something. It was just something to do with hot chocolate scent with a little tingling scent of fresh sweet cherry that made my nostril itches. The scent isn't irritating but it's something about it that it felt like its calling me. I looked around but nothing on the road then I decided to look deep within these woods that almost near the boundary of the school perimeter.

I kept searching but still nothing and it was getting into me - I'm starting to get pissed.

"Where are you?" I mumbled to myself as I began to center my energy to cloak my every senses like I was being a hunter again then there I felt it, rogues.

Somewhere in the woods not far from where the road was, I saw a big white wolf that looked like an Alpha she-wolf and a silver wolf who was fighting the rogues that were cornering them. I knew who are those so, I watched for a second since I don't know why they were fighting. From there, I noticed one huge rogue wolf fell on the ground protecting the she-wolf and the little silver white gray pup in between the white wolf. They fought for survival then I rushed immediately to help them will all I could.

I know I shouldn't get caught in the middle of it but I can't help it. When I saw the pup so frightened, I blood began to boil up and all I could see was blood. It's been awhile since I felt the urges of being under the bloodlust. I slashed their throats with no mercy with my bare hands but my help didn't make it to the pup's parents. The pup kept howling and howling until it snuggled itself to the white wolf lying next to it. The white wolf was barely alive but it still has last strength to take her pup into her mouth and lay it down a few inches from me.

I looked at the wolf's eyes and I saw a glimpsed of a mother entrusting her pup to a vampire that saved them.

'Take care of my daughter please...'

"I will..." I said then the wolf died that made the pup howled again.

I took her into my arms as I comfort and let her cry for more.

"I will take care of you from now on and sorry I didn't make it in time to help them." I said that made the pup turned the licked my cheek since a tear fell down on it.

"Let's go and bury them to my pack." I said then I carried the two heavy huge wolves at my back as the pup walked next to me.

I know, I'm a vampire so no doubt to the strength and as I got to the car, Nathaniel as well Batz immediately help me with the wolves I'm carrying. At first, didn't like what I'm doing but when they saw the frightened pup they both gave in. Batz folded the middle chairs then Nathaniel put the wolves inside one by one. Batz called the pup but the pup didn't want to sit with Batz at the back, so I decided to sit next to the pup where her parents been carried.

"Luna, what happened?" Nathaniel asked as he started the engine of the car.

"Achilles cornered them near the school boarders and I only managed to save her. I told her that I will bury them at the pack's graveyard." I replied while caressing the fur of the pup lying next to me and her dead parents.

"Did you tell Alpha about it?" Batz asked me while looking at the pup carefully.

"Yes and he agreed but he need to inspect them first just for caution." I responded.

"I see..." Batz said then she buckled herself.

"Let's go home I'm so tired." I said that made them chuckled then we drove home.

Frizabelle

When Ceres left for a business trip, I focus myself on training since knowing Ceres won't let me be on harm especially if the opponent was a vampire. My routine was the same like the old times whenever she's not with me until the night was getting deep; I joined the night patrollers to take perimeter run around the pack's border. We were having fun on little training while running but suddenly I've got the feeling that something will happen this very night. Then I began to feel so hot and protective over something that pains me from within. I stopped from running that also made the patrollers halted from my sudden gesture.

"Just go...I just need..." I said to them as I'm enduring the pain building within me then I heard a weak whimper and smelled something familiar.

Chocolate but it has tingling refreshing scent of orange.
