Don't Cry When I Die

If I die today
Don't waste your tears
Don't speak of my goodness
Crying the loudest for all to see
How touched you are by my demise

I beg of you to withhold your tears
Don't let them wet your chest
For they can be used more genuinely
When pain and suffering comes your way
They will flow pricelessly and at ease

No one chooses death, pain or suffering
But when they visit you, life's meaningless
In this i needed you to come and encourage
For true love is well spotted in this
But here you are pretending to care

Where were you to cry with me in my pain
Where were you to give me solace
Where were you to help me sit up and eat
Where were you when death was knocking
You were no where but here you cry bitterly

I called to let you know am in my death bed
But all you said is that you are busy
Yes busy with making future better
For you have a lot to manage
Business to run and a family to attend to

Here you come running soaked in tears
Talking of how great friend i was
How caring, Godfearing and sweet
Saying i was among your best
A friend you treasured with your whole life

When my body is being lowered you scream
Collapsing pretending to breath not
Asking why death never choose you
"I am not worth living" you say
Oh please don't pretend to care for you don't

Here i go in peace, for those who loved me
For those who mourn truly for my departure
For all who made this world better
I will be waiting you in the other world
I rest in peace but not in pieces
