Cutie and Kabootle found themselves on a flying platform, as the quiet night's wind played around with Cutie's ponytails. Next to them was the Sky Pirate Tavern, at the same time they could hear music accompanied by some pirates singing from the inside. Cutie was nervous; she knew her old rival could be there, waiting to take revenge on her for what she did in the past. But on the other side, she believed she could possibly make amends and convince him to help her in the journey to find her brother. Who knows?
Cutie tried to figure out a way to enter the tavern, and noticed the hatch way on the roof. She also noticed that the platform she was standing on was disappearing; she had to think a plan as soon as possible. Kabootle on the other hand already had a thing in mind, as he sneaked out Cutie's jumping rope –Good idea, Kab! - She said as she quickly tied the rope on Kabootle's torso again. She held the rope's end, and then Kabootle jumped out of the platform before it had completely vanished.
They entered the hatch way. Kabootle nailed his claws on the roof's wood plank, as he began to lift Cutie to its surface until she was already there with him. For a small kitten, he was pretty strong. Cutie was impressed; she never knew her pet had such resistance considering his size and most importantly, his age. But time was running, and they needed to spend it wisely. Cutie looked down, and noticed Captain Manly Beard with his pirate crew on the bar; she was feeling so intimidated only by his presence. She decided to walk a little far from them for her safety so she and Kabootle wouldn't have anything to deal with. Then, she jumped out of the plank and down to the wooden floor, hiding through some other pirates that were around.
Somehow, Cutie had the luck to find an old pirate outfit around the bar, it looked like the owner left and didn't come back for their possession. She took it and wore it, surprisingly it was of her size –Good, no one will recognize me if I use this as a disguise- She said. Then, Cutie took a little piece of red fabric she found on one of the tavern's tables, and she tied it on Kabootle's forehead, while putting a pirate patch on his left eye. She still had to do something else though –Now, the final touch and I'll be done with you- She said while brushing Kabootle's whiskers in a mustache shape –There! Now that's a true pirate kitty- She said. The final thing she needed to do was to give her pirate alter-ego a name: Marine Pants Girl.

"Marine" went to the bar where Manly Beard and his crew were at, and greeted –Ahoy, partners! - She said in a pirate-ish voice –My name is Marine, I've came from afar since I've heard about the so-called Captain Manly Beard, and I want a word with him!- Manly Beard heard the girl's calling for him, and walked towards her –Yargh! What ya need, young buccaneer? - He said. But suddenly, he noticed that Marine looked familiar –Wait a second, haven't I seen ya somewhere else? - He said. But when he recognized the pink staff that was behind Marine, he quickly realized who it was, and lost his temper –Aargh! I remember ya! Yer the one who stole me crew long ago, aren't ya?!- He yelled. Cutie couldn't stay in character any longer, he caught her –Yes I am- She replied, taking off her hat and revealing her true self.
