(A/N: This has been sat in my drafts for seven years, jeez. While I have no love for this franchise whatsoever anymore (trans rights for all, boycott anything that financially supports JK Rowling!), I went through and edited this while I was backing the whole fic up. I do hope someone finds fifteen-year-old me's work enjoyable. She'd be overjoyed to know people are still reading something that was so close to her heart :))

The girls were about a year old now, and their personalities were really beginning to shine through; Jacoba still cried to be picked up and carried on (Y/N) or Draco's side, whereas Alaska...well, she was a human tornado.

She'd broken two tea sets and a mirror in her short life already, along with countless other little things.

And this morning was no different.

''No Lasky! No—''

A large crash came from the lounge, followed by Jacoba crying and Alaska laughing at something.(Y/N) and Draco sighed in unison.

''It's your turn, Dray,'' (Y/N) said firmly, ''I was the one who had to fix the last mirror.''

Suddenly, Wisp started screaming too; probably upon seeing whatever was broken.

Draco sighed, ''you're lucky I love you.''

He walked into the lounge to see Jacoba covered in what looked like the water from the vase, which was broken all over the floor; the flowers from inside it were splayed all over Alaska.

''Dada!'' She exclaimed, ''look, flower—''

''Reparo,'' Draco muttered, pointing his wand at the vase, watching as the pieces flew from under Jacoba.

''No!'' Alaska yelled, trying to get at the vase again, but instead falling over.

''No, Alaska, don't break it again,'' Draco sighed, ''you're upsetting your sister.''

Alaska sat down with a thud, glaring adorably up at Draco, blowing raspberries in anger.

Jacoba stood up, and clung to Draco as if she'd die otherwise; ''bad Lasky!'' Draco laughed a little; the girls couldn't pronounce each other's names properly yet, so they called each other 'Jay' and 'Lasky', and sometimes even he did it by accident.

''I'll give you a present if you stop sulking, Lasky.'' Draco said.

Alaska's eyes lit up; ''present for Lasky?''

''Yes,'' he said, smiling as he took one of each of the girls' hands, ''just leave the vase alone...''It was soon forgotten about, as Alaska was more focused on the biscuits on the counter.

''Mama!'' she exclaimed, running shakily over to grab at her, ''Lasky's biscuit! Mine!''

Without a word to Alaska, (Y/N) handed a biscuit to Jacoba; ''here you are, good girl.''

Alaska stamped angrily, eventually falling over her own feet before mumbling, ''Lasky's biscuit...pwease?''

With a chuckle, she handed her one, too; ''thank you, Alaska.''

Draco and (Y/N) watched as Jacoba savoured every little bite, whereas Alaska bolted hers before you could even blink.

Suddenly, an arm was around (Y/N)'s waist, and Draco asked, ''could I have one too, please?''

''Fine,'' (Y/N) laughed, ''Merlin, you're such a child!''Draco rolled his eyes, not wanting to please (Y/N) with an answer.

Seconds later, Alaska was gone again; (Y/N) felt herself being pushed towards the door into the lounge, with Draco whispering in her ear, ''it's your turn, I went last time.''

~

(Y/N) had never thought time would move as quickly as it did after she had the girls; their first few months turned into their first few years, and soon enough, they were sick of looking identical.

Jacoba had her platinum blonde hair cut just below her ears, and, as soon as she could, became a very quiet little bookworm who Alaska often tormented; and as for Alaska herself, she let her hair grow down to almost her waist, and wouldn't go anywhere if she wasn't allowed to wear far too much rainbow plastic jewellery. They were six now, and both were already talking about Hogwarts.

''What house were you in, mummy?'' Alaska asked.

''Your father and I were Slytherins,'' (Y/N) responded, ''but I seriously think I was supposed to be a Ravenclaw.''

Alaska thought for a moment, and Jacoba said, ''does that mean we'll be Slytherins, mummy?''

''No, dear,'' (Y/N) said, ruffling Jacoba's bobbed hair, ''not necessarily. There's a lot of things that determine where you get sorted, but your parents aren't one of them.''

Jacoba looked as if she was enraptured by this, and was completely lost in thought; whereas Alaska was more interested in the TV show that was on.

(Y/N) still thought that installing that stupid Muggle thing was a mistake, as nothing actually interesting was ever on, but the girls loved the morning cartoons; or at least Alaska did, Jacoba was more bothered about reading now.

Jacoba was obviously about to ask another question, but suddenly, a frantic knock came at the door.(Y/N) opened it, expecting to see Draco, but instead saw a girl; she couldn't possibly be older than her twins, and the pigtails hanging limply from her head only went further to prove her young age.

''Hello,'' said the little girl, who had a rather familiar pug-esque face, ''are you (Y/N)?''

She was surprisingly eloquent for her age, which caught (Y/N) off guard a little; ''um, yes? Are you—''

''Not lost!'' she said quickly, her eyes fiery, ''I just wanted to say that—''(Y/N) sighed, ''is your mummy nearby? Or are you looking for—''

''NOT LOST, FURBALL!''

(Y/N) was completely bowled over by this outburst, and the little girl's incredibly angry face was beginning to remind her of someone.

''Is your mother's name Pansy, by any chance, dear?'' (Y/N) asked, trying to keep her composure.

''No,'' the girl spat, obviously lying, ''it's...Peony.''

(Y/N) rolled her eyes; ''go home, dear; and tell your mother to stop calling me Furball. We're not fourteen anymore.''

(Y/N) tried to close the door, but mini-Pansy stuck her foot in the gap, squeaking a little in pain. ''Let me talk, Furball!''

(Y/N) gently removed the girl's foot from the door and locked it, using a light locking charm, just in case (as she wouldn't put it beyond Pansy to teach her daughter Alohamora before she even started school).

She stood there in silence as the girl tried to punch her way in for a full five minutes before finally leaving, and then, (Y/N) sighed in relief.

''She was loud.'' Jacoba said quietly, looking a little scared.

''She was,'' (Y/N) said, sighing, ''but she's gone now.''Even Alaska looked a little mollified by her; (Y/N) was not excited for the day she had to bump into that selfish, vile little girl again when they all started Hogwarts.

But she'd never know what it was that girl had to say.

Not until a few days later, at least.
