1. I'm staring in the mirror when my reflection suddenly smiles. turns and walks out of the reflection door of my bedroom. I turn and am confronted by endless darkness.
2. The grinning face stared at me from the darkness beyond my bedroom window. I live on the 14th floor.
3. My sister says that mommy killed her. Mommy says that I don't have a sister.
4. I killed my wife last week, I was so afraid that my son would ask where his mom was but he didn't. Tonight, after dinner, he finally asked me with a strange face. "Daddy, why are you carrying mommy on your back everyday?"
5. The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 12:07 before she pushed her long rotting nails through my chest, her other hand muffling my screams. I sat bolt upright, relieved it was only a dream, but as I saw my alarm clock read 12:06, I heard my closet door creak open.
6. A girl heard her mom yell her name from downstairs, so she got up and started to head down. As she got to the stairs, her mom pulled her into her room and said " I heard that too."
7. My wife woke me up last night to tell me there was an intruder in our house. She was murdered by an intruder 2 years ago.
8. I awoke to the sound of the baby monitor crackling with a voice comforting my firstborn child. As I adjusted to a new position, my arm brushed against my wife, sleeping next to me.
9. I smile watching my wife and son play on our bed. I still can't believe it's been three years since I lost them.

18. The new tenants think there is a ghost in the house. I would have noticed it after 200 years here.
19. The baby sitter had just excused herself to the bathroom. When my mother rang me to ask how I was enjoying my first night home alone.
20. I"m close to finding the perfect man for me. And as soon as I finished stitching together part I loved from all of my exes, he will be.
21. "Daddy I want a baby brother." My little princes demanded. The next day, we took a trip to the playground so she could pick him out for herself.
22. My father wasn't too terrible. But I certainly preferred my mother. Though, in hindsight, I may have simply overcooked him.
23. I don't mind that my housemate brings guys home. But just once, I'd like to see one of them leave.
24. I burned the dolls even though my children cried. They did not understand my fear because they assumed I moved the dolls into their beds each night.
25. When we bought the house I assumed the scratches on the inside on the basement door were from a dog. But the neighbors say the previous owner didn't have one. This morning, the scratches had multiplied.
26. One time I brought my friend over to my house and my dog started barking at him and went crazy. About 2 years later I found out that he was a serial killer.
