31. The Only Child (by: TheSinkingDread)

She didn't hesitate dropping her 5-year-old from that bridge into the unforgiving rocks some 80 feet below. She was perfect, so is her husband. Having an ugly son is unacceptable. Her husband was devastated, while she did a lot of faking. A year passed and she gave birth to another, but this time it's a beautiful baby girl. He was once again, satisfied. And at last she too. Some 5 years later she had a walk with her daughter in that familiar bridge. Midway through, her daughter hugged her very tightly. "What's wrong sweetie?" She asked, her daughter replied with a whimper "I'm scared, so scared, I love you mommy, I've always loved you" .. "Oh, I love you too sweetheart, but what are you afraid of?" .. "I'm afraid you'll drop me off this bridge, again."

32. Ariel

My daughter Maggie always loved to watch the Disney move "The little mermaid" ever since she found out it was my favorite childhood movie. She would beg me to put the movie in and when I did, she would always sing along and dance to the songs. I swear she knew the entire movie by heart. You could imagine her excitement when I decided to name my new baby daughter "Ariel". Maggie would always sit Ariel next to her so they could watch the movie together. I even heard her whispering to Ariel "Where is your tail Ariel?" Of course all Ariel did was babble and spit up when her sister asked her that.

One day, I was reading the newspaper at the kitchen counter when I heard the shower faucet start to run. I just thought Maggie had decided to take a bath. I heard Maggie sing some song from the movie when all of a sudden I hear water being thrashed around. I ran to the bathroom and stood there in horror at what I had found.

Ariel was floating in the bathtub, face down and Maggie was clapping her hands and laughing. "Go Ariel, go ! Go find Prince Erick and get Married !"

33. Roommate

A young coed was returning from a night out with her friends and she didn't want to disturb her sleeping roommate, so she crept into the room and found her way in the darkness, undress and slid into bed. The next morning as she awoke and turned to say something to her friend, she saw her mangled body on the blood-soaked bed, and written in her roommate's blood on the wall were the words: "AREN'T YOU GLAD YOU DIDN'T TURN ON THE LIGHT?"

34. Home Alone

You are home alone, and you hear the news about the profile of a murderer who is in the loose. You look out the sliding glass doors to your backyard, and you notice a man standing out in the snow. He fit's the profile of the murderer exactly, and he is smiling at you. You gulp, picking up the phone to your right and dialing 911. You look back out the glass as you press the phone to your ear, and notice he is much closer to you now. You then drop the phone in shock. There are no footprints in the snow .. It's his reflection.

35. My Girlfriend's Eyes

It was her eyes that first attracted me to her. I didn't believe in love, but the first time I gazed into her beautiful green eyes I knew she was the one. I loved seeing myself reflected in those eyes, looking deep into her soul and knowing I was a part of it. It's kinda stupid, but I even wrote a poetry about them. I don't remember much, but I told her "There's so much life within your eyes, and so much love." Oh God, I loved the way the light danced within them. I just couldn't imagine not being able to stare dreamily into them.

Now if I could just find a box that was half beautiful as her eyes, I could stop carrying them around my pocket.

36. Nicolas

Two years ago, I was looking through my elementary school yearbook with my 5 year old cousin, when we were at a page with a 2nd grade class, she pointed to a boy's photo and said "That looks just like Nicolas !" When I asked who Nicolas was, she just replied "The boy in my closet" and kept on looking through the pictures. I almost died.

37. Crying Isn't Going to Help (by: Reddit user HonestRage)

I pointed the gun at the sick bastard who killed my wife. He sobbed as he feared for what was to come. I pulled the trigger. If only he spoke and tried to reason with me then maybe he could've lived. But that was obviously not going to happen. After all, he was born just a few minutes ago.

38. I Begged You (by Reddit user stellarpath)

"Please I am literally begging you," I say, but the executioner only sighs and gives me a truly sorrowful look as he slides the IV into my arm.

The chaplain sits beside me. "Once he pushes the button, the drugs will be administered in quick succession. Unconsciousness will occur in roughly 30 seconds, and death soon after that," He explains, even though I have heard it so many times before already. "Any final words?"

"Just, again, I beg you not to do this," I say.

The chaplain nods sadly, sorrowful that I do not face my executioner with a clean conscience.

That's the thing, though. I haven't murdered anyone. It's been this way my entire life. I don't know why, but whenever I would accidentally hurt myself, others near me would receive the wound. I once got a paper cut in class that caused the three people around me to bleed from their fingers. In high school, I was in a car accident, and even though the side of my car was hit, my girlfriend developed a broken leg.

I'm always careful. I take care of myself, trying to stay in the very best of health. But when I was mugged by that trio and he shot me in the face, their face exploded, not mine. And when the cops came, they found me kneeling beside their bodies, trying to figure out what to do and stupidly holding their gun.

Around thirty seconds after that execution started, I see both the executioner and chaplain fall to the floor with a hard thump. "I begged you," I repeat sadly.

39. Afterdeath (by wolfreakm)

The pain ended quickly. I rose and tried to find my body. Probably lying mangled underneath the metallic wreck. Dying in a road accident is definitely the worse way to go. "So ! Had a nice life?" Asked a voice behind me. I turned around to find a woman smiling. Since she could see me I was pretty sure she was a soul like me.

She giggled, "You are taking it pretty well. I am Cindy by the way."

I spoke evenly,"What happens now? Hell? Heaven?"

She laughed harder. Before I could say something, I heard a commotion from far off.

Cindy shouted, "COME ON !" And she ran.

She turned and yelled, "Have you been good?"

"What?"

"Have you done any good while you lived?"

Totally confused, I spluttered, "I.. I donate blood once."

As we reached the source of the noise, I was dumbstruck to find hundreds of people ripping each other apart in front of a hospital.

I shouted, "WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?"

Cindy replied, "Someone is giving birth here. These souls are fighting to get inside the new born shell."

"But the baby .."

"LISTEN TO ME .. THERE IS NO BABY UNTIL A SOUL PENETRATES IT .. If no soul makes it inside, the shell is pronounced dead by doctors."

She continued, "Your fighting strength depends on your Karma. So the soul of rapist or a pedophile etc stands no chance. They will never get a shell and will painfully wither away. Children are most dangerous. Pure souls. Stay away from them during fights."

"But what about heaven ... and hell?"

"THIS IS HELL ! And more importantly, the life you left behind .. That is heaven."

40. This is Probably not a Good Idea

Every time you exhale, a little bit of your soul escapes. Luckily, you almost always inhale it back before anyone else gets to it. Almost.

Ever fogged up a mirror with your breath?

Don't do that.
