I check my phone as I climb out of bed, slipping on some running shorts. Hoseok is sleeping after our long lasting trysts. I don't feel back for him. His stubborn ass deserved everything he got.
Smirking, I kiss his cheek and pull the sheet up over him before leaving the room and heading to the kitchen, starved after the rough night we've had. Namjoon is sitting in the kitchen.
He yawns. "Hey. When did you get back?"
I snort. "Hours ago. Got a little distracted by your mate's...well." I give him a look.
He looks back proudly. "Yup. I'm hoping he gets pregnant again." He smiles.
"Seriously? All ready? The twins are still so small." I take a seat beside him, drinking some juice.
He shrugs. "So? I love my mate and my young and wouldn't mind more. What about you and Hoseok?"
I hesitate. "I love him and Soyeon but I don't know if we're ready for more."
"Well...I hope this doesn't affect his needing then. Can't stop it if he does get pregnant." He shrugs.
I groan. "I don't understand. Why did Jin go into his needing? He should have had about a year." I mumble.
"I was actually going to ask you about that. It's concerning, right? I believe Taehyung should be first."
I ponder this. "It must be coming on soon for him. Maybe it offset Jin's out of stress. He's been going through a lot." I surmise.
"I was thinking the same thing." He sighs. "It was almost over for us." He admits quietly. "If his needing hadn't of started...we might have broken it off."
My eyes widen in surprise. "I didn't realize your problems were that serious."
"How do you and Hoseok deal with your issues?"
"We fight then fuck it out." I say, serious.
He scoffs. "We can't all be like you. My mate isn't as strong as yours. He's strong but in different ways."
I nod. "Just like Jimin and Jungkook. All relationships are different and take different measures of communication. I think...you should find someone for Jin to talk to."
He frowns. "Like a psychiatrist?"
"Yes. I know that we have to be cautious about those things but he really needs it. It would help your relationship as well as heal him from himself." I suggest.
He blows out a breath. "I'll ask him if he's willing to go. I'm not going to force him, though."
"I think he will go. For you and the twins. Especially if he does get pregnant again. It's worth it."
He nods, deep in thought. "So where did Jimin and Jungkook go?"
"He texted me and said they were going to stay with Tae and his boyfriend."
"Ah. I hope they can handle all those young over there." He smiles.
"Since we know now they're alphas as well I'm sure they have it covered."
"I'm glad Taehyung has found himself a proper mate."
"Yeah. The poor omega needs a break. There is just one thing I don't understand about Bogum's father..." I frown.
He glances up at me. "What is it?"
I lick my lips, thinking. "Well...Bogum said his parents took him across the boarder when he was a child. His father was a very important and high ranking military officer, correct?"
He nods slowly.
"Well, as you know I was taught everything about our military history because of my father. The only high ranking alpha that disappeared with his family was a nearly a decade ago."
"Yeah so? That puts Bogum around the age of eight, right? What's the problem?"
I smile. "Yes, well. I remember being there. That high ranking alpha was killed trying to escape. My father held a secret funeral for him. His family did escape but the alpha himself was killed and it was covered up. Who the hell is posing as Bogum's father? And how could they leave Jaebum behind? He was only around the age of ten."
He stiffens. "It doesn't make sense."
"No. It doesn't. There's something there. Bogum has to know that isn't his real father. Maybe his mother remarried but he's obviously an alpha. How did he escape? Why would he pose as the original? I think we need to talk to Jungkook when he gets back. Ask him all he knew about Jaebum and how he was raised since they were close."
He nods. "Alright. Can I ask you something?" He asks after a brief hesitation.
I look at him, waiting.
"Did you kill Daniel? I've noticed a change in you since Jungkook asked us about him."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
He snorts. "I know you way too well for that shit, Min. Tell me the truth."
I shrug. "I didn't kill him." Completely honest.
He frowns. "But you know he's dead and not just missing? Who the fuck killed him! He was just a kid."
I laugh. "Maybe but kids turn into awful criminals sometimes, don't you think? It was probably for the best."
He looks at me in surprise. "Maybe." He looks away for a long moment. "It was Hoseok, wasn't it?"
I hesitate. This is my mate we're talking about and it's my job to protect him. I force myself to relax. "No idea. I'm sure he would have told me if he did."
He narrows his eyes at me. "Uh huh. Don't tell me then. Just know that Jungkook is very good at his job and I hope none of us put him in jeopardy by keeping our silence."
I drum my fingers on the table. "Noted. Like I said, I have no idea."
"Did you help bury the body?"
I give him a slow smile. "Why the fuck would I do that? I wouldn't touch that little fucker with a ten foot blowtorch."
He rolls his eyes. "Whatever. I'm going to go sleep with my mate. Goodnight."
"Night." I watch him go before getting up myself and shutting the door the our bedroom. Hoseok sits up on bed with a frown. "Do you think Namjoon knows I killed him?"
I crawl into bed and pull him into my arms. "Don't worry about it. I told you that I took care of it. Whether he knows or not doesn't matter. There is no trace to connect us." I stare into his deeply concerned eyes. "I will protect you. Always. I love you."
He sighs and snuggles into my arms. "I love you, too. I'm sorry I involved you."
I huff. "Who the fuck else would you call? It better always just be me. I'm your pillar, remember? Only rely on me. I'll keep you and Soyeon safe."
He leans up and kisses me. "I know...it's just I don't want to lose what we have."
I tighten my arms around him. "You won't. Nothing is going to happen. I promise you."
He snorts. "Good thing I have a lot of fucking faith in you, Min Yoongi."
I smile. "Don't ever forget that either. Just forget about the incident, Alright? Just erase it from your mind. It never happened."
It never fucking happened.
