A letter to my mother
I know you think I'm young and brainwashed by society, but here are a few things I need you to know.
I'm A feminist , an Ally, an environmentalist not because I don't believe in God, but because I believe in God. I believe God loves us Equally, I believe he wants us to have agency , and I believe he wants us to take care of what he has blessed us with.
When you tell me people "need to get over slavery" I want to tell you to get over what our people have been persecuted for. It was but a walk in the park compared to slavery.
When I say I'm fine. That's usually a lie. I lied to you for years about being fine. What makes you think now that you know about those years , it won't be a lie anymore.
