I couldn't believe it. I turned my head to see a boy walk out of his room in the middle of putting his shirt on as if he had just got out of the shower and was getting dressed. At first, I wasn't sure who he was, but he had a beautiful body with a six-pack and amazing hair. He then got done with putting his shirt on and I realized that this wasn't just any guy, this was Jake Michael.
"Jake!?" I said in a confused voice.
"Wait...Lyn? You're my roommate?!" he said in the same confusing voice.
To be honest, I thought I was going to have a female roommate, but I wasn't complaining. ;)
"I didn't think... I mean... I.. Well, I thought I was going to have a guy roommate. I mean, not that I'm complaining." he said blushing after he finished the last sentence.
"Uh... same actually." I said with a little smile.
"Well, I am actually kind of glad we are roommates." he said.
"Yea." I said, "At least I'm not with someone that I don't know."
"True. Um, anyway I was just going to go to Bryce's house. I will be back in about an hour though. If you want to come with me you can." he said
"I appreciate it, but I am just going to go to bed. Thanks though." I said, slightly regretting it because I wanted to go with him.
"Bye." he said before grabbing his phone and keys off of the counter and then leaving.
God. I can't believe this. I am roommates with the boy I forced myself to forget about for a whole summer just because I knew he would never love me. I wasn't sure what to think about this whole thing so I went over to Gianna and Mallory's dorm right across the hall to see what they would say.
Knock Knock Knock
"Hey, what's up girl?" Gianna asked with a worried look on her face.
"It's 10:00. Are you okay?" Mallory said worries as well.
"I'm fine." I said, "But I need to talk to you guys."
"Sure. Come on in." Gianna said.
I told them all about the whole roommate situation and they tried to calm me down. I wasn't sure why, but for some reason, I was really worked up about this. I wasn't sure if I was excited or scared. What I did know however was that I was going to have an interesting year.
About an hour later I went back to my dorm room and watched TV until I fell asleep.
--- Jake's POV---
I had the best night with the boys. We played some video games, I drank a couple of beers, and we talked for about two hours.
"So Jake, who are you going to hook up with next?" asked Bryce.
Yeah, I was kind of a player, but I wasn't the kind of guy that used girls. I have never hooked up with a girl that wasn't my girlfriend and I wasn't really considering doing it either.
"I don't know." I said, "The last girl was the worst though. I never want to see her again."
"Jesus man, how many have you had. I mean like beers." said Bryce.
"Oh shut up Bryce. I've only had two and I wasn't kidding about this girl. She caused all of this fake shit and I was tired of it." I said.
After about fifteen minutes of just talking, I decided to go back to the dorm and go to sleep.
When I unlocked the door I went inside to see Lyn sleeping peacefully on the couch. I then went to go set my stuff down on the counter and change into shorts and a more comfortable shirt. I wasn't sure why but when I went to go turn the TV off I saw Lyn and had the urge to go put her into her bed because the couch probably wasn't very comfortable.
I picked Lyn up bridal style and laid her in her bed, but as soon as I started to walk away I felt something pulling on my arm. I looked down to see Lyn's hand on my wrist. She was pulling me back in her sleep as if she wanted me to sleep with her, so I sat on her bed and laid next to her. God, she was really pretty and I didn't ever want to leave her side.
I ended up falling asleep next to her and I looked at her clock to see that it was now 1:00 A.M so I decided to get up and go into my room for the rest of the night. Before I left I kissed Lyn softly on the cheek. A short time later I was in my bed, but I couldn't stop thinking of Lyn and how pretty she was.
