---October 31, The day of the Halloween party---
I woke this morning to see that it was 8:00 A.M. This meant that in exactly 10 hours it would be time for the biggest party of the year, the Halloween party. I was really excited for this party, but at the same time, I didn't want to go. Why? Because that meant I had to dress up and look decent for once.
I was getting out of my bed when suddenly there was a knock on my door.
"Who is it?" I asked yawning widely.
"Us!" said Mallory and Gianna as they opened up my door and walked in.
"Why are you guys here?"
"Uh, don't you remember?" asked Mallory hinting something at me, even though I was completely oblivious.
"Yea, we have spa and make-up appointments today," said Gianna.
"Oh shoot, I forgot."
"Get dressed quickly, we'll be waiting out here," said Mallory walking away and closing the door behind her and Gianna.
So at this moment I quickly threw on the first outfit that I saw: a Tulsa Roughnecks Soccer shirt, black leggings with cutouts down both of the legs, Reebox underwear, a random bra, Addidas socks, and my gray Nike shoes.
I then grabbed my phone and purse and ran out of my room. I was almost out of the door room when I felt a grip on my shoulder. So I turned around slowly only to see Jake.
"Hey, where are you heading?" asked Jake taking a sip of his coffee and raising an eyebrow at me.
"I...uh... I was just...going with the girls." I stammered.
"Oh. Well, I ran to Starbucks this morning and got a reminder on my phone saying "Buy Lyn a tall Vanilla Bean Frapachino ;)". Any idea why this was on my phone?" he said smiling and pointing to the counter where my favorite Starbucks drink stood.
I then remembered that when me and Jake were sort of dating I added a reminder to his phone so that everytime he was by a Starbucks it would go off and remind him to get me a coffee. Of course, this was before the incident.
"Look it's kind of a long story, and I have to go." I said, not wanting to tell him that I was slightly obsessed with him a while ago, "But I will take that coffee." Then I ran out of the dorm with the coffee and met Mallory and Gianna down at the parking garage, where we all jumped into Gianna's car and were on our way to the spa.
"Why did you take so long to get dressed?" asked Mallory, once I was in the car.
"Look it's a long story," I said buckling my seat belt in the passenger seat.
"Let me guess, it had something to do with Jake," said Gianna pulling out of the main lot.
"What's the deal with you two?" asked Mallory.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Do you like him, hate him, or what? We need to know Lyn," said Mallory.
"To be honest guys, I don't really know how I feel about him. It's like one minute I hate him and the next minute all I want is him. Does that even make sense though?"
"I get it," said Mallory putting a hand on my shoulder from the back seat.
"So Lyn, elaborate your feelings, please. I'm a bit confused," said Gianna.
"Well, it's kind of like I want him to be in a totally different world sometimes. But sometimes I secretly wish that he is with me, like we're dating. I know it sounds kinda stupid, but I guess I just miss him talking to me all the time and hanging out with me."
