Roommates

Chapter 10

As soon as I walked in the lights were off and there were only candles keeping the room from being completely dark. 

"What did you think of my plan?" I turned around to see Jake in a suit with the first few buttons unbuttoned to make it look sexy. "Now go put on something nice. I'm taking you out. My treat." 

"Okay," I said excitedly and then I went into my room to find something to wear. 

It took me a little bit but I got all cleaned up and found a tight black dress to wear and I curled my hair. Then I finally got finished with makeup and everything so I headed out of my room and found Jake waiting patiently at the front door with his keys around his pointer finger signaling that it was time to go. 

"Damn gorgeous." He said looking at me in my dress and smiling.

"Don't get used to this," I said and then I took his hand and we left the dorm. 

We went down the stairs and we both got into his white Jeep. 

"So, where are we going?" I asked 

"Don't worry about that right now beautiful." He said taking his right hand off the wheel and grabbed my hand. 

We drove for 15 more minutes until we finally arrived at the cafe we usually go to and sat at our big booth in the back. The whole restaurant was dark except for some cute aesthetic string lights on our back booth and around the ceiling. 

"I know this isn't an ideal date place but me and Bill have been working on a special date menu for about a week now. This is actually where I have been going when I say I'm going to Bryce's house," he said and then smiled. 

Right when he said that Bill came out with a plate of fancy food on it and then set the food on our table, along with two glasses of water. 

"let me know if you two need anything else," he said with a pleasant smile and then went back into the kitchen.

"God Jake. Why did you do all of this?" I said smiling at him, "I would have been fine with a burger and fries." 

"I know, but I wanted something more special for you." 

"Thank you. For everything, you've done in the past month. You truly are the best." I said grabbing his hand under the table and giving it a little squeeze. 

We then ate, talked, and laughed until it was 9:00 P.M. Then we decided to leave and go back home. So we drove for about 15 minutes and we were finally back home. Every time I looked at Jake in his suit I got butterflies in my stomach, he looked so good and nice. I wonder what he thought of me. He walked up to the room and held hands the whole time. He kept looking at me and not saying anything just smiling. 

Then we got into the room. He walked in first and I walked in last and I turned to shut the door. When I turned back around Jake pinned me against the door and kissed me softly. Once we pulled away I went in for another kiss. Then, before we knew it Jake's shirt was off and I was practically out of breath. So we kissed one more time before I gently pulled away. 

"We should stop," I said

"Yea..uh..sorry." 

"I'm going to sleep early," I said heading to my room. "Thanks for everything though."

"Good night beautiful," Jake said and then also went into his room. 

Something about what just happened felt so right. I think I was officially in love with Jake, and I think he loved me too.
