Jaque's P.O.V
I am standing in a room with four stone walls. Each wall had a symbol on it. I walked over to one wall and got a closer look at it, the picture was fire. I brought my hand up, suddenly enchanted by the look of the flames, I brushed my fingers on the edge of the carving in the stone. Then I looked around, noticing each symbol, first there is fire, then air, earth, and water. I walked to the middle of the roomi, the stone still cold on my feet. I am still trying to figure out where I am but I don't know where, yet it feels familiar. I heard a creak coming from the wooden door opening, weird, I didn't notice it there. Four cloaked figures walked in the darkness, my eyes had adjusted so I could tell they are much older than I. They each stood infront one symbol, one for each of them. Once they stood there, the symbols started to glow, then I heard chanting around me. I listened to the chanting but only heard five words: fire, air, earth, water, and bound. Then I woke up.
I suddenly jerked up breathing hard, my eyes wide. I have my hand on my chest, feeling my heart beating fast. I looked around my not so clean room, everything is normal here I thought. No stone walls with glowing symbols or cloaked figures chanting. I let out a sigh of relief, I looked at my digital clock on my bedside table. In big red numbers, it said six am, I decided then to get up. I forced myself to push the bed cover off me while walking to my closet to get some clothes. I pick my green plaid shirt with a white tank and a pair of blue jeans. I then walked to my bathroom feeling heavy, I'm still a little groggy. I brushed my hair and teeth, then I looked in the mirror. My hair is brown and ends little after my mid-back. My eyes are orange, a very strange colour. I thought I was the only one in the world with orange eyes but I was wrong. My dad's mother had orange eyes, unfortunately, I never met her. Same with Lily, she never met her dad's mother. It's the opposite for the boys though, they didn't meet their mom's fathers. We all had the same eyes as our grandparents, it is weird but nice because then we have a piece of our grandparents with us.
I looked at the time and noticed it was six-fifteen, I had time to go and visit Flames, my black quarter horse. I grabbed my bag and some quick breakfast. I then put my black and white converse on and headed towards the barn. I the realized that today is when Fane, Sage, and Lily would be coming over after school to come for a ride on their horses. We have horses for them, quarter horses. I put a smile on my face and realized I would be with a certain boy, Fane. I squealed a little and got to the barn.
Fane's P.O.V
I am on the bus, looking out the window. I felt the yellow contraption stop and I saw a very familiar sign: Timberwood Ranch. The double doors opened and a girl walked in with an all too familiar grin on her face. Jaque, I thought. She plopped herself beside me and looked in my direction, I just stared at her, getting lost in her bright orange eyes. I've liked her ever since I first layed my eyes on her, I just kept staring. I didn't notice a pair of fingers come infront of my face and snap me back into reality. It was Jaque who did it.
"Hey, you ok?" She asked with concern in her tone, she was so cute when she is in concern.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" I said confused, titling my head a little like a dog.
Jaque's P.O.V
I just asked Fane if he is ok and he said yeah, but then I couldn't help it. I chuckled a bit looking at his checks.
"Hey, why are you laughing?" Fane asked.
"I'm laughing because your blushing like a madman." I said laughing.
