The elevator lights started to flicker, "Oh God... please no." I said. Soon, our light source stopped working. We were left in darkness. The air grew cold, so cold the mirrors all around us froze up. The rotting smell only grew stronger, then I knew what it was, it was the disgusting smell of rotting flesh- human flesh. Another smell filled the air around us, a sulfur smell, I gagged, it smelled like off eggs.

The elevator stopped. I couldn't take it anymore, I threw up again. Freya tried hard not to also throw up. Luckily, it started moving again. As soon as the doors open, like fish being freed from a net, we poured out, dashing for the exit door. I turned the door handle, pushing hard, it took a bit of effort, but I eventually got it open, we ran outside, the glorious smell of night time air filled my nose. I glanced back, and saw a figure with antlers standing there. It waved, a gross grin plastered over it's face. We ran until the building was completely out of sight. I didn't have a clue where we were going, or what we were going to do, but we needed to get as far away from that motel as we could. Take it from me, never, and I mean never go to motels in the middle of nowhere.

We were really lucky to see a police car driving by, we waved our hands around wildly, yelling. It came to a halt. The driver rolled down the window, we told the police officer our grandparents address, and asked if he could drive us there.

Finally, we arrived at our grandparents house. I rang the doorbell and thanked the police officer. Grandpa Jim opened up the door, his expression looked troubled, but when he saw us, he returned to normal. "Matt, Freya, where on earth where you all this time?" We laughed, "You don't want to know!"

We sat on the couch, sipping hot chocolate, thankful we were finally safe. "So, really, what happened?" Grandma asked, sipping on some hot chocolate. "You wouldn't believe us even if we told you." Freya said. "But okay, we'll tell you, so it all started when-"

"And that was what happened." Freya finished. I nodded. "All true." "Alright, well I think you two should go up to bed now, it's nearly 4:00." Wow, it was almost like time had frozen whilst we were in the motel. We agreed and left to the room we always slept in since we were young.

Freya turned off the lamp and we said goodnight, I was finally able to sleep in peace. I smiled and snuggled into my pillow.

Just as I was about to fall into slumber, a tap from the window jolted me awake. "Just a tree," I told myself. I laughed nervously and tried to sleep again. Tap tap tap the tapping continued, growing louder and faster. More tapping. "Just the wind making the tree tap on the window." I kept telling myself that. Something about it.. just felt off. That horrible but familiar sensation of feeling like I was being watched wafted around me. I glanced at the window, hoping to see a tree... I was horrified to see that damned demonic creature with antlers standing, staring into my room, hands pressed up against the glass, grinning directly at me. "No, please, no! Not again!" I said out loud. It's sinister smile only widened unnaturally, going right up next to it's glassy black eyes, when it sensed my fear, that it was feeding on. Then the room began to change, it swirled around me, things began changing, I watched, dazed confused and darn right terrified. Then I saw what it had changed into. I was back in the motel room. The creature was standing closer to me, it was right in my face. "Don't move,"
