Chapter 9

"Who the hell are you?" I demanded. The pain in my stomach made it difficult for me to move. He didn't answer. The eel attacked the rhino creature and they clashed till the eel was knocked aside. I willed myself into a wolf and cast a fireball at the eel. I howled at the rhino and told it to run away and as fast as possible. It did as it was told but the eel came back for vengeance. I struck the eel multiple times and emitted electric shocks in my body. "AAAAAAAAAAH!" I tried to keep consciousness but the rhino attacked it and it electrocuted it and the rhino collapsed. It tried to save me. "No!" I attempted to run. There was nothing I could do. Then the rhino vanished. At least it was safe. I ran and didn't stop. I felt the blood drip from my wound and I was fading in and out. "Stay up! Don't pass out! Don't pass ou-" I collapsed and everything faded into darkness. "We have to keep her stable!" I heard someone yell. It was a dream. I saw a woman on a table. She was covered in small shards of glass and blood. I immediately knew who it was. It was my mother. "We're losing her!" A nurse cried. "Mama?" I whispered. Why am I seeing this? "Mama please wake up! Please!" I cried. "We need you to leave." They pushed us out and line went dead. They kept yelling. She wasn't waking up. "Ōkami!" I heard someone yell. Am I dying? Is that why I'm seeing her? "You have to get up! You have to keep moving forward." I saw a blinding white light and saw that it was dawn. I steadied my breathing and slowly got up. Was that her? I didn't think about it too much and ran to the barn and collapsed on the bails. "Gah..." I stayed there for so long, I felt myself going out again. I turned into my human form and walked towards the med-kit. "Crap!" As I applied the hydrogen peroxide to the bloody mess. It stung a lot. I managed to patch up. But the pain still remains. "God!" I groaned. "This sucks!" I heard screaming come from the house. It sounded like Sally. I tried to run but the pain was excruciating. I saw a large creature attacking the house. It looked like the creature from those Sharktopus movies. It grabbed my family and someone came into view. It was a man in a cyan suit. I summoned all of my strength to turn into a wolf again and attacked him. I bit down on his arm while someone else yelled. "Get her off me!" I sank it so far the suite ripped and blood was showing. "Razzorkinder Puppet!" A puppet came out of a purple portal but I didn't care. I needed to save my family. I let the man writhe in pain and threw fireballs at the thing. "Let them go!" I demanded. The puppet slashed me aside and pinned me with wires. "Ōkami!" My sister cried. I burned the wires away and went after them. How does she know its me? The creature vanished with them screaming my name and telling me to run. "No!" I attempted to go after them but something grabbed me and pulled me away. It was the puppet. It laughed menacingly. I threw a fireball at it and it disappeared in a black cloud. I attempted to attack them again but I was blocked and thrown away. Landing on the ground. I saw the house erupted in flames. "No!" I moaned. I heard other voices, so far from me. I failed. I failed to protect them. Then I faded in the darkness. "I'm sorry!" I mumbled. "I'm so-"
