I saw small orbs floating around. They pass a bright light and they float away. "What are they?" "They are stalker spheres, they fly around the city and in the temple so Master Brightmore can check up on things so it wouldn't look suspicious when a bunch of people are walking around." That made less comfortable. "Is he watching us?" I asked. "To make sure we aren't doing anything stupid." "Oh," I say dumbfounded. "You seem to know everything, how long have you been here?" She thought about it. "I been here since I was 9 years old." I looked at her like she was crazy. "That long?" She nodded. Since she has been here this long she must know a few things. We walked down a hall of statues when one caught my eye. I glared at it. The one Doragon served. Jane looked in my direction. "I always walk down these halls and yet I don't know him." She claimed. "Who is that?" "They call him the 'Choten'. They don't talk about him." I nodded. "Was he a Duel master?" She shrugged. "I don't know, like I said they don't talk about him." We went on our way and kept walking. We saw a large mural on the wall, Jane said that she didn't know the history of it too well but we can ask her aunt or the other masters. We went to the library to study some creatures. "So these tablets are to describe the creature and what it is capable of?" She nodded. I'm surprised she isn't annoyed with me asking so many questions. She asked about the collar and I told her about it. "So it's supposed to let them know where you are?" I nodded. "That makes sense since not all the spheres can be all over the place to monitor everything. It allows Master Brightmore and let the others know where you are if you are out on your own or with someone." "Kind of reminds me of the show Black Mirror." I snorted. "Yeah especially episode 2" I thought about it. It has been a long time since I seen it. "Or was it episode 3?" Jane laughed. We continued to study till she asked me if I had encountered a creature other than the rumbling terrasaur. "I didn't know what it was but it was hanging in my grandparent's barn," I told her the story and she shuddered. "Man I can not believe you did that. Most creatures take that personally and don't want to be slashed at unless wanting a fight." "It saved me, even though I hit it. I still don't know why?" She shrugged. "Beats me. Maybe it respects you in a way?" "Like the predator? In the movies?" She snorted. "Really?" "What?" We continued to study, after I finished mine I put them where I last saw them. I saw the tablet again but I left it alone. I came back with a new stack when I saw Master Nadia talking to Jane. "You are dismissed for the day." She said. "Thank you Master Nadia." I bowed. We went outside and Jane took her bike while I turned into a wolf to follow behind her. We kept going till I heard a van. I recognized it. It was the van that we saw on our first day. I barked at Jane, she understood. She peddled away with me alongside. She fell and I immediately knew why. It was the puppet again. It laughed. While an Indian woman wearing a purple jumpsuit ordered it to attack. I defended Jane while she summoned something. She summoned a Three-Eyed Dragonfly. The creature threw it stick sap at them. Then I saw the bastard again. This time he was human.
"Hello, sister. I see that you made a friend." "Sister?" Jane asked. I didn't answer. "What do you want from us?" "I want you to return with me. Sadly, the father doesn't want you anymore." "I thought you said he was dead?" "I did. I have a new one. Since you are causing him some issues he wants to make sure that you are dealt with." I growled at him. "I did say that you will be punished." I cursed him out. He didn't take it lightly and he turned into his wolf form with the bat wings. He looked at me with a horrible snarl on his face.
Even if I wanted to fight him, I couldn't. Not with Jane around. I ushered Jane to get on my back. "Are you sure?" I nodded. Just as she was on my back, the dragonfly was taken out. I took it as my cue and ran. Jane held on for dear life. "Why do you even do so? She is only dead weight." I was big, big enough to hold a grown man on my back but I can still outrun them. I'm not sure I can outrun Doragon. I took twists and turns to confuse them while they followed. We managed to lose them in an alleyway. My collar started beeping. Master Brightmore! He knows where we are! Please get the hint! "Ōkami, I'm not in the mood to play," Doragon said somewhere behind me. I can't do this forever. No, I have to! I have to protect Jane! I'll put this jerk down!
