"What are you doing with that?!" Jake reached across and grabbed his journal out of my hands.
"I found it, who is Kyle? And who is this gu-" I was interrupted by an angry Jake.
"You have no business going through my stuff! You don't see me going through your shit huh?!" He had a point. I do feel bad but I couldn't help myself.
He stomped out of the room with his journal tightly in hand. I ran after him and grabbed him by the arm.
"Jake," I stared deep into his eyes. "Talk to me." I could feel his arm loosening up as he nodded and we walked back into my office.
"I thought you told me everything Jake?" I said softly.
"I don't have to tell you everything." He said firmly looking away from me.
I was sympathetic of the man. I reached for his hand and looked into his eyes.
"Please, I'm worried." I spoke reassuring him that he could trust me.
He sighed which I took as a note to speak more.
"Who is Kyle?" Was my first question.
Jake scoffed and turned back to look at me with utmost anger in his face.
"Old boyfriend, he was verbally abusive." I could see I triggered some unforgettable memories.
"How and when did you date?" I pushed but still kept my calm comforting voice.
"In high school we dated. We were the only supposedly gay guys so we decided why not." Jake explained. I cocked a brow at him seeing how they dated each other out of pity.
"How long have you know you were bi?" Judging by his answer, I could figure out how long he had been hiding this.
"Since I was like 14 or something." He said unsure.
I've known him for since he was 14... How many other secrets has he kept from me?
"What are you worried about? Towards the middle of the book you started becoming worried over someone?" I began.
"You only read to the middle? Oh thank god." He let out a huge sigh of relief which made me even more confused.
"Uh...why?" Jake stayed silent. At this point, I was desperate for answers.
"Jake, who are you worried about?" I pushed again.
Before I could even say anything else I felt his lips smash into mine. My eyes flew wide open in astonishment.
"Who do you think?" He said smirking seeing as though I had just given him the satisfaction he needed.
"M-Me?" I couldn't wrap my head around this.
"Well yeah who else would it be?" Jake looked at me weirdly as if I did something wrong.
"Wait, I don't understand." I shook my head.
"Albert, I'm scared if our relationship will turn into what Kyle and I had." Jake was now reassuring me.
"I-I uhm...is that why you try and touch me any time you get? You're flirting with m-me?" I was confused and couldn't help but spit more questions.
"Well...yeah...I thought you knew? I thought you were gay?" This made me ever more confused.
"What? I'm not gay? Plus, I thought you were just being nice?" I could see that my words kept shooting him down.
"Albert are you stupid or something?" Jake stood up and looked at me weirdly. I didn't get too offended but damn.
"What?"
"You even read that journal and still don't know what's going on. It's pretty fucking obvious. I like you Albert. I'm gay for you. When will you get the hint?!" Jake stormed out of the room. I followed after him.
"I'm sorry I just...I don't know!" I followed him down stairs to the kitchen where he got himself a cup of water.
"I came here for a fucking month to make sure you're not lonely, that's a big fucking hint." He made some pretty obvious points. I was blind. How could I not know? I was at a loss at this point.
"I need to get out of here, I'll be back later." And with that he took off out the door. Not a second thought was given. I stood there in front of the door. Just staring at it blankly. I could barely understand this whole situation.
(A few hours later.)
I was sitting on the couch watching some funny movies to get my mind off things. It was all I could really do. I didn't have the energy and the right head space to make videos.
Suddenly the front door swung open and in came Jake. Even just sitting away from the front door I could smell the alcohol coming off of him and filling the house.
"What's up Al'bitch." He said stumbling over to me. His words were slurred and unclear.
"Jesus Jake where did you go?" I asked holding him up. The alcohol coming from his breathe burnt my nostrils.
"The bar where do you think?" He said laughing and flopped onto the couch taking me down with him.
"Come here and give a smooch why don't ya?" He grabbed my head and pushed me into him. I tried holding back but he was too strong.
"Jake...stop it..." I said trying to push him away.
"Fine." He pushed me away and got up stumbling over to the stairs. Before he could even set his foot on the first step he missed and fell straight to the ground.
"Oh my god come here." I brought him back up on his feet and sat him down on the chair. I then began preparing some soup for him..
"Whatta doing there sweet cheeks?" He cooed in a soothing voice. My back was facing him so it made me sort of blush.
"Soup, so you're not as drunk." I heard him stand up from his chair. I then felt his arms slither their way around myself waist. I could feel my face turn red as he spun me around lifting me off my feet.
"Come with me, I'll show you a good time." He said in a low voice sweeping me up form my feet. He carried me up the stairs and into the guest room in which he slept in.
