[daggers - part two]
[3rd]

She apparated into the middle of the street, barely missing a jet of red light. All around her Order members appeared, countering the attacks of the Death Eaters.

She looked around. They were in a rural village in Scotland, with the Dark Mark set over it. They had been told to come here on a mission by Dumbledore, who said that there was an attack here. Clearly he was correct. She still had no idea how he got his information.

Almost immediately she found herself in a duel with a death eater. They were all dressed similarly, with a death eater mask and black robes, so she couldn't tell who it was. She waved her wand, silently stupefying her opponent before they could curse her. She moved from one opponent to another, the world spinning around her so quickly she could only barely react, shooting spells at every death eater she saw.

Then through all the chaos she spotted a familiar face. She wasn't even bothering to cover her face with her hood, her laughter manical, a mad glint in her eyes. Lily, who was leading the mission, faced her, gripping her own wand with determination.

She rushed over to her best friend, standing next to her, letting her know she wasn't alone, that she had backup. "Bellatrix," she greeted her nemesis between gritted teeth, sending spells flying out her wand, defending herself from Bellatrix's attacks.

Bellatrix laughed madly, "look at that! It's the little mudblood, helping the other mudblood! How sweet!" She leaned closer, "don't forget, I know your weaknesses. I spent years learning your secrets."

That got her. She stared for a moment, before her anger got the better of her. She was used to the insults, but she was not about to let her best friend be insulted, by her old mistress, no less. "Don't- call- her- that-" she seethed, "she is so. Much. Better. Than what you will ever be, Bellatrix. Spending almost two decades watching and torturing a helpless child? Like you're one to talk."

Bellatrix flared, and the duel commenced. However, even the lieutenant of the Dark Lord didn't stand a chance with the two girls, who had been a team since forever. Their spells and attacks seemed so much more powerful together, and together they drove Bellatrix back. The pureblood death eater hissed at them before fleeing the scene.

Lily quickly turned back to the fighting, but she felt like everything was in slow motion, stopping time. Her mind was still stuck on what Bellatrix had said. Did she know? There was no way she would... her fatal flaw, the thing that would finally push her overboard... no one knew, except for herself and maybe Lily, that she would do anything for anyone she knew and loved. If Bellatrix really knew about that... worse, if she knew about her loved one who was positioned right next to Bellatrix... then she wouldn't be the only one in trouble. She could only imagine the trouble Regulus would get in if Bellatrix got wind of that. Oh, Regulus... She wished he would be safe, or next to her, giving her support, but there was only her own imagination, because he couldn't be there, because they were destined to be apart, unlike James and Lily. Every time she saw them she couldn't help see herself and Regulus in that position, see what would have been if he had defied his family, but he was too loyal to his family and she couldn't blame him for that. But she simply couldnt forget him. She couldn't deal with this alone.

But she wasn't alone. She had the Order behind her and she had her friends there, and she knew he was there with her in spirit. And she knew she had to fight. She sighed, and turned back to the battlefield.

She was sucked almost immediately back into the mass of fighting. The other Death Eaters fled one by one after the fleeing of Bellatrix, but some still remained. She was caught in a duel with another Death Eater, and this time her opponent was a skilled wizard. He seemed to know her every move, and her instincts also told her she knew every thing he was going to do. She was mystified. How did this person know her this well? There was no way- no- no way-
