Chapter 1: New kid in the orphanage

All I remember was that it was very dark out and I was crying out for my parents or for anyone. Then the door opened and thus women found me, picked me up and took me inside to clean me up, to feed me and to take care of me.

It was hard for me as the years went by to realize that I was different from the others. I was made fun of for my name, Chi, but the others kids would call me Chee. I have been ignoring them since I was two years old. I am only 7 years old which means I am still considered the new kid in the orphanage. All I have to call mine is this necklace that was with me when the owner of the orphanage found me at her front door.

"Hey, Chee!" One of the kids called out my name wrong, again.

"What do you need!" I called back ignoring that fact that they pronounced my name wrong.

"I need my pants sewed up again!"

"Fine!" I said as they were dropped in front of me that way I can start fixing up their pants for the third time. I stitched it up really tight this time, handed it back to them and got back to making myself a dress that looked pretty good to me.

(Unknowns POV)

I knocked on a orphanage door to adopt one of them. The door opened to a young girl with a needle, thread and a half made dress in her hand. "Madam! Someone's at the door!" She yelled up the stairs and went to a chair in the corner to keep working on her dress.

Then I heard someone yell down, "Chi! Invite them in!"

The girl sighed, came back to the door and said, "Come on in. Madam will be down in a few." I stepped inside to hear the door being closed to see the girl disappear upstairs to come back with Madam in a dress.

"Hello sir. How may I help you today?" Madam said as she held out her hand.

"Hello Madam. I am here to adopt a child today from this orphanage." I told her.

"Ah okay. Let's go take a look at all the children in the art room." She led the way to the art room. I saw the young girl in the corner of the art room in the dress looking at a mirror.

"What's that's girls name in the corner next to the mirror?" I asked Madam.

"That is Chi. She was abandoned here as a baby."

"I would like to adopt her." I said as madam led the way to her office. We did the paper work and I was able to adopt Chi.
