Chapter 9: high school all over again, new year

It was my sophomore year in high school and I was bullied. One of the foot ball players threw a foot ball at my face. I dodged out of the way and kept walking before someone kicked me in the back. I went down and saw Alec coming this way. I went to get back up but I was kicked in the stomach. I coughed up blood in the hallway. "Get away from her!" Alec roared at them. They ran and I held my stomach while getting up.

"I am okay." I said while sitting down on the concrete ground.

"Let me check your back." I didn't argue with him and let him check. "Shit. You have a bruise forming on your back." He lifted up the front if my shirt. "Also a couple forming on your stomach."

"Alec, I was a orphan kid. I have been pushed down the stairs, broke my arm twice, pushed against walls and beaten up and had to stitch up my own wounds the kids would give me. This is nothing. Can you help me to my first class and stay with me please?" I asked and explained. He helped me up and led me to my home room class where he left to go get ice packs for me.

"Okay class today we are going to watch a movie and leave Chianne alone." I saw my teachers eyes switch from green to black back to green. I mouth, "Thank you." To the teacher. Se nodded her head as Alec came, back in whispered in the teachers ear something then came to sit next to me while placing a ice pack on my back holding it there for me. Then place the other on my stomach which I winced at. He noticed and kissed my cheek.

Class was over and I made my way to my math class. Alec had all the same classes as me.

All my morning classes went by as a blur then lunch came. I didn't eat anything.

"Chi? Are you not hungry?" Alec asked as he gently hugged me.

"I haven't been hungry since I came out of my coma. As much as the food looks good I just haven't had an appetite to eat anything. But water sounds good right now." I went to my locker trying to ignore the pain in my back, in my stomach and head. I fell over but didn't meet the ground. Alec caught me.

"I am going to take you to my car then let them know that you are not feeling well and that I am going to take you home." I nodded my head as he took me to his car. He kissed my forehead and told me that he would be right back.

I fell asleep in his car before I heard people talking around his car. I woke up to see Alec with some girls hanging around him. I turned my head, climbed into the back seats and laid down on the seats.

"Okay Chianne they are letting you stay home from school for a week." He got int the at and glanced over to the passenger seat then to the back seats. I sighed before closing my eyes.

"Please take me home. I just want to sleep." I said in a quiet voice.
