Madam came up to me, told me to go pack what I have which was just this dress, a t-shirt and pants. I have no shoes at all. I found a plastic bag and put my shirt and pants in there.
I walked down the stairs to have one of the kids push me down the stairs causing me to go face first down the stairs breaking my while arm from my shoulder down to the tip of my middle finger. I just gasped at the pain, took my only clothes and turned it into a sling.
My adopted father glared at the kids before gently touching my arm. "Don't worry, my arm will heal soon. This has happened to me before, I have gotten used to it." I told him and took a hold of his hand and we left the orphanage.
I looked up to see a really big house that belonged to my adopted dad. "Hey Mr. you never did tell me you name. My name is Chi."
"Well Chi, my name is John. Welcome to your new home. I'll show you to my personal doctor for he can take a look at your arm." He led me to his personal doctor.
(Johns POV)
When she told me that she got used to getting hurt, being pushed down the stairs, and other things like that got me thinking that pain was the only thing she knows or recognizes.
Then she says, "Hey Mr. you never did tell me your name. My name is Chi." I looked over at her then back at the house.
"Well Chi, my name is John. Welcome to your new home. I'll show you to my personal doctor for he can take a look at your arm." I told her as I led the way to my personal doctor.
I knocked once then went in to see him sitting behind his desk looking at his paper work. "Doctor?"
"Yes Mr. John?" He said while looking up from his work.
"This is my adopted daughter, Chi. Some kids pushed her down the stairs making her break her whole arm that is in the homemade sling. Could you take a look at her arm please?" I explained while asking at the same time.
"Sure. Right this way Ms. Chi." He said and Chi followed the doctor to the back room.
"Hey, Chi! I'll be right back! I have to make sure your room is ready!" I said while my phone went off.
"Hello?"
"Mr. John?"
"Yes?"
"I forgot to tell you that on Chi's necklace is her real name carved into the design." The owner of the orphanage told me.
"Okay. What is her real name?"
"Chianne. That is her real name. That is all I needed to tell you."
