Cassia was standing in the void, manacles attached to either wrist. The connecting chains lead down to the floor, and vanished into the darkness. She stared defiantly at the boy in front of her, Jason.
"You won't break me, Jason." she spat. "You can't take me away from my friends, I won't be your Muse!" She stood still and just glared at him through this, but her bleeding wrists showed that she'd tried lunging at him before.
Jason chuckled, gazing at his captive Muse with a calm, yet calculated look. "Little one, I don't want to harm you. You're much better to be alive and well. But, we can't have you running off to your friends again~" His smile was unnerving as he flashed a cocky grin at her.
She growled, her blue gaze pinning him with a glare. "You said I could see them again. YOU allowed them to see me! So don't tell me it's MY fault I got to talk to them!"
"Tut, tut, such anger. Such... Passion." Jason, who had been pacing back and forth in from of her, suddenly stopped. "Let's see how far that can take you, hm? It's high time I started... Training you." The look in his eye was almost maniacal, his grin twisted into a horrible grimace. "Let's begin, little Muse."

Cassia wearily turned her head to the approaching footsteps, unwilling to move from her sitting position. She knew it would be Jason again, as it had been for the past month.
Day in and day out she'd suffered his "training", but she was still trying to hold on. Right now the only thing that kept her going was the thought of her friends. They had found a way to visit her once, she was certain they could do it again.
"Good morning, my little Muse." Jason said with a smirk, seating himself in the chair just out of reach of her chain. "I hope you slept well. Today's going to be another big, big day!" The last part was said with a twisted smile, as it had been for the last few weeks. He could tell she was weakening, but even he couldn't pinpoint exactly when she would break. However, it was only a matter of time.
Cassia sighed, and hauled herself into a standing position, facing Jason. And as she did every day, she responded the same. "You can't break me, Jason. You've been trying for months now, and the most you've done is wear me down some. My friends know I'm missing, and I bet they're coming to get me right now!" While her expression was dull, her tongue was as sharp as a double edged blade. She refused to be beaten, especially by someone like Jason. Cassia hated being used by anyone, and that had given her more strength to hold out this long.
