Anne With an E Oneshots

okay guys, so this idea just came to me and I really wanted to write it! I also updated my other shirbert book so you should really check it out!! 

Anne walked into the schoolhouse, her bosom friend Diana beside her. They put their coats and hats away, and walked to their desks. 

"Gilbert looks so sad and handsome today! Don't you think?" Ruby questioned with heart eyes. She turned to Diana and Anne to get an answer out of them. Diana smiled and nodded. Anne just shrugged. She turned to look at Gilbert and smiled. Gilbert soon turned his head, just to meet eyes with Anne. He winked at her and smiled, turning back to his medical book. Anne blushed slightly, and cleared her throat. Her and Gilbert admitted their feelings to each other and started a relationship a few days ago, and Anne was still blushing at how Gilbert made her feel. 

"He looks the same. Ruby, as you must know, I am not a Gilbert Blythe fan," Anne stated, intentionally making the last part louder so Gilbert would notice. Anne snuck a quick glance over at him and Gilbert tried his best not to laugh out loud. Anne wanted to keep their relationship a secret so Ruby wouldn't get devastated at the fact that her and Gilbert liked each other.

When class started, Gilbert and Anne would answer the questions Miss Stacy asked and would look at each other playfully after they answered the question. When it was lunchtime, Anne sat in her circle of friends. Diana noticed how Anne was fidgeting and wondered what was wrong. Anne was supposed to meet Gilbert behind the schoolhouse and wanted to leave as soon as possible. 

"I have to go," Anne spoke quickly as she left her things in their group and got up and left. Diana had a sneaking suspicion she left to meet Gilbert Blythe. She noticed how Anne would stop denying whenever she teased her about Gilbert, and would notice a blush on her cheeks whenever she was around him. Diana just shook her head and smiled at her friend, going back to the conversation she was having with Ruby. 

Anne rushed out of the schoolhouse and ran to the back of the school. No one was there except her and a tall curly-haired boy.

"Gilbert," Anne smiled as she walked up to him.

Gilbert smiled and walked over to her. He placed a hand on her cheek, leaning in and placed his lips on hers. Anne smiled into the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him in closer. 

"We really need to do this more often," Gilbert teased when they broke away. Anne rolled her eyes and hugged him.

"I missed you. This," she softly spoke. 

"Anne Shirley-Cuthbert missed me? I'm shocked," Gilbert said sarcastically, placing a hand over his heart. Anne laughed and smiled widely. Gilbert loved hearing her laugh and seeing the smile that just happened to brighten his day. He leaned in once more, placing a small kiss on her cheek. 

"I feel bad, Gilbert. Lying to my friends. Especially Ruby," Anne sadly stated. 

"She'll get it. Once we tell her she'll move on," he smiled down at her, "Don't worry."

Anne hugged him again, and felt happy finally admitting her feelings to herself and getting to be with a boy as amazing and handsome as Gilbert Blythe. 

"Anne?" Gilbert started. Anne looked up at him. He smiled. "I really like this. Being with you," Gilbert continued. 

"I like this, too. I like you, Gilbert," she laughed. 

Gilbert smiled, holding her small hand in his. Man, he could get used to this.
