Questionable - Narcissa Malfoy nee Black

Januray 1976

Snow was falling as Narcissa walked slowly into the empty waiting carriages. It bumped and rattled up to the main entrance; the school seemed emptier than usual; there been a massive attack in London during the new year celebrations and she been wandering around Leicester Square alone.

She had spent most the Christmas holidays alone, either she wondered around London for hours or her aunt Walberga locking her room at the end of the holidays.

Narcissa been looks forward to seeing Andromeda over the holidays and her older sister had back out at the last minute has been unable to meet her due to fear that Bellatrix would get wind of them seeing each other.
One Tuesday she had adventured out to London by herself for the day as Druella and Bellatrix were arguing about the wedding details in the libaray that morning.
She had gone to Diagon Alley to get the spare potion ingredients which she was low on and had walked into Lucius with his parents. She had been asked  join to them while they had lunch in the leaky cauldron.

"Ma, you remember Narcissa Black." Lucius said as he pulled out a chair for her to sit on in the pub, his parents had chosen to eat in for lunch that day. Pandora looked sullen as she sat on the other side of her mother as she was watching Xenophilius Lovegood in the corner with his parents.

"Pandora, stop staring at the Lovegoods, they are all strange and frankly are not worthy of our attention." Athena Malfoy said stiffly in the high back chair as plates of food appeared in front of them as they sat there. It was one of her favourite dinners as they sat and eat together.

"N.n.n.ice see y.y.ou. M.mr and M.mrs Malfoy." Narcissa's stammer came out as she spoke, Lucius's eyebrow raised an eyebrow as he sat down next to her.

"That is okay dear, no need to be so nervous around us." Athena said gently .  Narcissa blinked as she was spoken to nicely by Lucius's mother. They sat at there eating and talking together and it seemed so different with them than her own family. They had winter apple crumble and custard for pudding.

"I need to pay for myself." Narcissa said a little worried about how much it was going to cost her.

"No need to worry, you've been a good friend to Lucius. We are quite happy to pay for you." Abaraxas said as he smiled at her.

"Where are you going?" Camille said as she went to the dorm instead of having dinner with the rest of the house; Kreacher had made her parcel of sandwiches and with a small cake to hide in her bags as she returned to school. She was glad to get away from home until the end of the school year for the summer holidays.

Narcissa was sitting crossed legged on her bed, listening to the noises of the mermaids swimming above her. "Well going to the common room, so what is to you; Camille?"

"You missed the Christmas ball; which was amazing and what's more Lily and Potter are an item again you would not know that would you seeing that you were at home." Camille said as Narcissa shut her curtains around her bed with her wand as she sank down on the bed.

She wondered why Serevus had not written to tell her about Lily. She had no choice about being at home as her mother didn't like her socialising with young men unchaperoned. Serevus was always complaining about the amount of time, their mothers interfered with their lives. Lily spent with the time with other the other Gryffindors than her these days.

Leaving her bags alone, she went out the common room as the water above moved against the windows as she scanned the room for Serevus. She spotted him in the corner he favoured, looking like the over grow bat he was becoming ; as she walked over with her head high.

"Serevus." She said coldly as he turned to her with his dark eyes with a red puffiness , she had not seen since the days of their first year in school.

"You know about Potter getting the one girl; I always loved?' Serevus said as she sat down on the sofa next to him.
