Anxiety/Health:
- Just start (what you're feeling is resistance) and get over your fear of whatever you're resisting, your confidence will catch up
- Set small goals
- Blow on your thumb to feel less nervous
- Play with a pet to relieve stress
- Dance to loosen up
- Listen to classical music
- To help with control: name five things you can see, four things you can hear, three things you can touch/feel, two things you can smell, one thing you can taste.
- When you feel things getting dangerous put on headphones and count
- Color the squares on your math paper in a pattern to concentrate
- Write down exactly what is making you anxious (in English if you can, it makes you feel good)
- Say affirmations out loud
- Clench your fists
- Convince your brain you're safe and in control
- If you really need to, go to the bathroom, set a timer to feel anxious and let the tears flow
- If you feel a panic attack coming in massage the pressure point on your wrist (three fingers down)
- If you don't have your affirmations pocket-book read your emergency anxiety notes
- Always have SOS meds (lorazepam, Inderal, Ben-u-ron, mebocaina, etc...)
- Have a lucky charm
- Listen to your body, if you need to reinforce your medication just say it
- Sit down with your eyes closed
- Work on your posture
- Eat mints to reduce headaches and increase concentration
- 10-12 almonds = aspirin ?
- Grape juice for migraines
- Always have water (Cold and with lemon if possible)
- Do hair and face masks at night
- Moisturize your face and hair before bed
- Put lavender/stress relieve spray on your pillow
