The next day Cell had his first day at lunch. He was the only adult there. Some kids looked dirty like they'd been digging through stone fore days, some looked like they gardened, others looked like they had been beaten up every day of their lives. Cell sat next to Jamie.
"Rock saves kids from jail every time she goes out she steels us from abusive parents, orphanages, being homeless, and jail." She pointed around the room at the kids he was watching. Cell looked around more.
"What about those kids with picks and dust all over them?" Jamie looked where he was pointing.
"They help to make rooms, halls, and stairways." Cell looked at them again.
"What are they making now?" she smiled at him.
"Your room." she had pride in her voice at the fact that her fellow kids could do such things. Rock walked passed them and sat with an odd boy with blond hair closed eyes and shaking all over.
"Who is that?" Cell asked
"Ley? He's the youngest kid here and he is blind plus he is deathly ill. I'm the second youngest." Cell looked at the kid again and watched Rock give him some medicine. All Cell could say was
"Wow." Jamie looked over at them. "Yeah wow is an understatement."
