I leaned against a tree. I'm at least five miles away by now. I can tell my health is slowly fading. I wish I didn't have to lie to Cell. I heard some leaves rustle behind me and I jumped up to defend myself but fell backwards. My hands began to shake as I held them up in my last line of defense. Tanner stepped up from the bush and ran over to help me stand. My stomach began to hurt like I was being stabbed. He held me up as I spilled everything I had eaten onto the grass.
"What is going on Rock?" he found a new tree and leaned me against it.
"I think I'm dying." he studied my face and held one of my eyelids up so he could see my eye better.
"Your eyes are yellow." I threw up next to myself. Once I had wiped off my mouth and sat up again I spoke.
"I'm hardly surprised." he held up my wrist inspecting my hand and arm.
"Tanner. Stop. I already tried everything. It's too late." he looked panicked as he stood up and began to pace.
"We could at least try. Maybe I can move you to a more comfortable place. I could try to steal some medicine or I can bring you some food and pain meds. You can at least die comfortably!" I stood up gripping my stomach and placed my open hand on his shoulder.
"No one is arguing with you Tanner, please dont yell. Your help would be better used at the cliff but you can do what you want." he caught me as I fell again. My health is going fast
"I'm glad you will be here when I die." he began to cry holding me in his arms. I can't move without pain consuming my body. I tried to hold my head up as I ran my fingers through his unruly hair.
"You can't die Rock!" his grip on me tightened and I cried out.
"Tanner, please calm down. I need you to hold yourself together." he laid me down on the grass.
"Roll on your side so you dont choke on your puke." I nodded as I turned on my side. He stepped away through the trees and I laid there for hours hoping he wouldn't come back.
