''So you're dating Hollywood now huh?'' my dad grunted lifting Weights.
''Yup.'' I said casually sitting on the exercise ball, he hummed his jaw clenched I smiled.
For a 50 year old my dad looked pretty good, he worked out 3 times a week for 3 hours each session ate a healthy diet and was always on top of things, sometimes he was just one of the guys, because he could still pass for it.
''What makes him so different, I remember getting the whole ''I'm not dating until it's serious'' is it serious with him?'' I shrugged
''It's different with him... there's something about him that I want to look deeper into.'' he looked at me through the glass his expression unreadable.
''If he hurts you Kenzie, I'll kill him stone dead.'' he said a shiver ran its way through my body.
''He won't hurt me dad.'' he nodded.
''Good I like seeing you happy, being in love looks good on you.'' I laughed standing up.
''Not in love yet old man.'' I kissed his sweaty head and put on boxing gloves while he watched me in the mirror, I raised my eyebrows, he shook his head.
''I just had one of those moments where I remember the day your mom gave birth to you and then going to your first dance class, to coming in here when you were 14 and used to sit watching me work out, it's just don't have anything more of you to hold on, you're all grown up on me.'' he wiped his face with a towel I smiled
''You're still going to see me get married, to go through mother hood, maybe I'm grown up but I'll have kids and you'll be around for them.'' he let out a deep breath
''That's making me feel worse, you becoming another man's responsibility.'' I smiled.
''Just think of the others' they're still teenagers.'' he laughed.
''You're my first born daughter Kenzie, I'm going to worry and think of you every day for the rest of my life.'' I pouted my lip and hugged his neck from behind kissing his head.
''You know I love you right dad?'' he nodded.
''Yeah princess I know.'' I nodded with a smile.
''As cute as it is, lunch is done.'' I turned seeing my mom smiling leaning against the door, my dad's face lit up seeing her.
''There she is, the love of my life.'' I chuckled.
''He's having one of those, my kids are growing up moments mom.'' I patted herself and walked up the stairs, hearing my mom let out a laugh and my dad deep laughter was muffled, I smiled and walked down to the kitchen
''Hey.'' I smiled seeing Ethan.
''Hey honey, how come you're not in school today?'' I asked sitting at the breakfast bar beside him.
