Chapter 10 [REWRITTEN] : Aurora

Everything was going wrong today. Bexley was not innocent and when Bailey asked if we wanted to join him at his house, we thought it was the end of the world once again. Sure, we all got a view of his shirtless boyfriend that would walk around the apartment every now and then, but was it worth the life-time trauma?

Yes. I mean, no. Of course not.

I was quick to come up with any excuse to not go. "I can't today because I have to get ready for a date." It wasn't a lie. "Thank you though."

"Yeah. I'm going, too–" Elora chipped in immediately, but paused. "Wait, what did you say?"

I gasped with both my hands covering my mouth when I realized how much I fucked up because now I was being shook by Bexley again while Elora point her finger at me demanding answers as she screamed at me. Bailey was just being Bailey as he struggled to take off the cork of the bottle.

"A little help–" He paused.

I spoke too soon. I was being shook, strangled, and yelled at by all three of them.

Great.

"With Dante?" She asked as her eyes bulged out of its sockets.

"Who's Dante?" He glared at me. "You didn't tell me anything about somebody named Dante."

Double great.

"Let me tell you!" She pointed at her brother as she sassed. She went on explaining how we met and literally everything I told her the past few days, but she didn't mention how she fell in front of him.

Of course not. Who would?

To think she had terrible memory like she always told us was beyond ridiculous to me.

"Well," I trailed off. "It's not like we ever had the time to talk about that. What happened was that I bumped into him yesterday at the event when I went to drop off the desserts."

Elora glared at me accusingly and I knew I fucked up even more. "That's why you took forever to tell us you made it there. It was because you two were making out!"

He started seizing on the table as he clutched his chest.

Dramatic.

"Hey, you told me someone will get it from there. You liar!" I retorted lamely while pointing back at her.

"That's what they told me!" She spoke back, smacking my hand away from her.

"Quiet! I want to know about that guy you have kept from me." He butted in after his daily dosage of acting.

Her sister nodded quietly in agreement.

I rolled my eyes. "Nothing happened. I stayed and ate with him. You called and he walked me out. He asked for a date, and I agreed because I don't have much to do." It was half the truth, but who cares. No one needed to know that I busted my butt climbing over a desk and that I grinded onto him on the balcony.

Stupid. Stupid Aurora. What was I thinking?

I had to change the topic or else they would storm me with questions. "I was going to ask you guys for help, but..." I trailed off, tapping my chin with my finger dramatically.

They stopped every horrifying thing that they were doing to me and pulled away. "Sorry about that." He smiled at me sweetly, pulling out a chair and sitting on it backwards. "Go ahead and elaborate, please."

"Help me pick an outfit."

"You should've said that sooner!" He jumped on his seat excitedly, clapping his hands together. "Your place after work?"
