It was a few weeks later and fall break had finally arrived. The leaves were falling and the air was a light breeze that smelled faintly of summer leaving and fall appearing. The smell of hope and new beginnings. But I'm pretty sure people say that about Spring.

The thing about fall is that everything is at piece. Nothing is growing and nothing is dying. The leaves are falling but when they fall, they leave behind beautiful and peace filled colors. Ones that you can jump in or drive through, and it gives you a moments feeling of calmness. Of peace.

Not to mention it isn't too hot or too cold. It's just the right temperatue to chill out in an oil stained garage, wearing your boyfriends hoodie. Which is exactly what I was doing in this very moment.

Matt and I had been together since the day after we had our first kiss. After the kiss, we had kissed some more. Then a little more. Then when I was being walked to the door, he kissed me a little more. But it hadn't gone any further than that.

Except the time when we were in Walmart looking at juice and he brushed by me and accidentally touched my ass. But even then he apologized a million times. I told him it was fine, when in fact, it was MUCH more than fine.

The day he officially asked me to be his girlfriend was one that will stick in my mind until the end of time. It went a little like this..

                  *FLASH BACK*

Matt and I were sitting in the park, sunday right after church. Logan hadn't been in church that service, which I was more than thankful for. I didn't have to see him, so the memory of what happened remained in the back of my mind.

I was sitting on the swing, moving my legs back and forth but being extra careful about it. One wrong move and this church dress was about to make some very sinful decisions. Matt was still in his swing, occasionally moving his legs but very rarely.

"Whatcha thinking about, prince charming?", I ask him, my foot brushing against his. The corner of his lips turn up slightly and he looks over at me.

    "You?", he replies softly.

   "Is that right?"

   "Mm".

I let out a little laugh and shake my head. "That's all I get? No more detail than that? Just 'mm'?", I ask. He shrugs a little, the small smile remaining of his face. "Maaatttt!".

He chuckles finally then sighs, standing up. He comes to stand in front of my swing, grabbing hold of the chains so I can't swing away from me, then leans his head down close to mine. I look up at him, expecting to see a playful grin, but I'm met with a very serious expression. "You know I'm not just.. ", he begins but sighs. I knew what was coming next.

I stand up, making him take a couple of steps back."If this is about Logan, save it, Matt. I have had feelings for you and I've denied them for SO long. Since I first saw you and you almost killed me. I'm not seeing you in this romantic light just because you saved me, Matt. I promise you. So get that out of your head right now", I say quickly, hoping he caught all of that.

He cups my cheek in his hand and smiles down at me. "That's not what I was gonna say at all, but thank you", he says, making me shrug slightly and blush a little. "I wanted you to know that I'm not trying to take advantage of you. But all of what you said just then, reasurred me of everything". I smile softly and nod a little. "Add?", he asks.

I look into his eyes once again. "Hm?", I ask softly.

"Be my girlfriend", he says, not saying it as a question but more of a statement, even though I could hear the slight fear of rejection in his voice.

I smile widely and kiss him deeply. "I thought you'd never ask".
