All of my classes go smoothly and my teachers don't seem too bad. I'm in three classes with baseball, but every single one of them, Matt lurks in the back of the glass with a different girl, making her giggle by whispering in her ear. The unknown feeling in my stomach resurfaces and I have to push it down again.

When lunch time rolls around, I quickly find a seat and sit down after grabbing a bowl of ravioli that the lunch ladies had wonderfully prepared. I take a bite and resist the urge to do my happy food dance. If there was anything good about the south, it would definitely have to be the way they prepapre their food.

By the time I've whisked away my hunger, baseball comes bouncing up to the table. We hadn't seen each other last period and he seemed happy to find me again. "You've got a little..", he motions to my nose and I raise an eyebrow. "Right there", he says as I start trying to wipe whatever was on my nose off. Finally, he gives up trying to direct me and he takes the napkin from me and wipes it off himself, making me wrinkle my nose. He sits down with a satisfied grin. "All better".

I could feel the blush creeping up on my face and the butterflies doing somersalts in my stomach. His eyes seemed to glitter as he looked at me and I couldn't help but smile back. Then a wild thought hits my brain. "I don't even know your name", I say, suddenly alarmed.

He chuckles softtly. "No, I suppose you don't. So what do you call me in your head when you think of me?", he asks, a smirk appearing. Oh. Someone is sure of themselves.

"Who says I think of you?", I ask and raise a slight eyebrow. He just laughs and leans closer to me, our noses almost touching. "I'm Logan" he says before abruptly standing up. He starts to walk away but stops. "Oh, and Add? You might wanna keep a watch on your buddy Matt. He's been giving me the death glare since I sat down". He nods to Matt whom was sitting on the opposite side of the lunchroom. When he sees me looking, he quickly looks away.

I try to tell myself he was just looking because I was going against his warning about baseball, but another part of me doesn't believe. A warm and fuzzy feeling replaces the icky and cold one that I usually feel when I see Matt.

I shove it all away, not allowing my brain to go there as I throw my trash away and head for my next class. I ignore the stares and whispers coming from around me as I walk out. Was it because I went to the party with Matt and was now hanging with Logan? I prayed it was just because I was new.

My next class was Art and I happily go in, losing myself in the drawing. I make friends with a girl named Lisa beside me and we hit it off really quickly. Before I know it, we're dismissed.

I go through the rest of the school day, feeling happy and relieved that it isn't so bad. I grab my bag when the final bell rings and make my way outside. Just as I walk outside, a red car flies by me, making their way off campus. When I realize what just happened, my blood turns to fire.

Matt just left me.
