Music is : Issues (Instrumental) by Julia Micheals

I was walking with my boyfriend, Aaron, in the mall. Every now and then he'd look down at me and smile, and I'd smile back because, honestly, who wouldn't accept that face?

"Ooh, look Aaron!" I exclaim at the sight of a candle store. "Let's go look inside!"

I unintentionally drag Aaron into the store, causing him to chuckle a little. "Okay, okay, Charles! Slow down," he says between laughs. I slow down.

"Sorry!" I squeak. Aaron smiles at me again. I return the smile. I love him, and he loves me.

We walk around the store smelling candles because that's kind of our thing. Aaron calls me over to one side of the room (I typed that as A A ron and now I can't stop laughing).

"Look at this candle, Charles. It's called 'Flower Meadow.' Smell it," he says. I gently sniff the candle. It smells exactly like it's suppossed to; like me and Aaron were suddenly standing in a field full of various flowers. I turned to Aaron with a smile and nodded. We went to the cash register. Aaron pulls out a five dollar bill, but I push his hand away, retrieving my own money to pay for the candle. Now I am smiling at Aaron, and he does it back.

We leave the store with our candle in a small bag. "I really like the candle you picked out," I tell my boyfriend. He laughs. "I do, too. Thanks for paying, Charles."

   "You're welcome, Aaron."

When we get home from the mall, Aaron lights the new candle and we drinm coffee while letting the candle's fresh scent fill our home. Suddenly Aaron speaks out of no where.

"I'm leaving to go to Virginia tomorrow. I'll be gone gor seven days."

"Wh-what?!' I say, outraged. "Since when? To do what?!" Actually, I sound more fearful and sad and confused, rather than angry. I can't stay angry at Aaron

"I have to go down there for some quick business. I'll be back before you know it, Charlie." I move seats to sit on Aaron's lap pathetically. He kisses my cheek and squeezes my hand reassuringly.

   "I love you."

"I love you too, Charles. With all my heart."
