Why am I publishing this now?
Charles Lee was walking through the park with this friend of his, named George. George King Frederick, to be more specific. He kept glancing at his friend as they passed children and dogs and elders. Everyone was enjoying the sunny day here in Brooklyn. The birds were singing, the air was warm...
...and yet Aaron couldn't shake off the feeling that the connection between George and Charles was rather unusual.
HAH this is being told by Aaron's pov. You have been fooled.
Aaron was a massive shipper, and Kinglee was his OTP. They were his friends, so it wasn't too creepy. And he didn't stalk them or anyhting. He just thought they were cute together. No, no, Aaron silently corrected himself, cute is an understatement. Harmonious? Miraculous? Magnifcent? Those work perfectly.
Aaron grinned stupidly as George handed Charles a flower he'd picked from a bush. Now they kiss.
Charles said something in return and they kept walking.
...or not. Aaron was genuinely disappointed. These two had know eachother for two years -- almost three years, now -- and they still weren't together! Today is the perfect day to change their relationship from friendship...into romance.
The two were sitting on a bench together. Aaron got closer so he could hear them speaking.
"So, George, hypothetical question," Charles said nervously.
"Shoot," George replied.
"So, say there's this person YOU PASS IN THE HALL EVERY DAY --) that you've known for a long time."
"Uh-huh." George nodded and tapped his foot on the sidewalk. Aaron reluctantly contained a squeal of excitement. He's confessing! My gaydar is going off like crazy!
"And you've grown closer to him over the years," Charles continued. Aaron bit his lip, trying not to break into a smile.
"...yeahhhh."
Charles took a deep breath. Aaron widened his eyes as he eagerly waited.
"And you've suddenly developed feelings for them. What should you do to confess? How do you tell them?"
George considered this for a moment. "Well, you would give them a flower. Tell them that you really like them."
Charles stared down at the flower George had picked for him: a gorgeous red rose. Aaron held his breath and crossed his fingers.
And then Charles turned to George and handed him the rose. "George, I really like you."
Aaron drew in a sharp breath, and hoped that the boys' hearts were beating too fast for them to hear. Luckily they didn't notice Aaron's presence. They were too busy staring.
And now they --
KISS!!! They had kissed! George had leaned in and made a move! And it was so wonderful that Aaron jumped out of his hiding place and screeched in victory. "I knew it! Ohmygosh, my shIIIIPP UAIAIAIAIAIAIAII!"
George and Charles quickly pulled away, flustered, to stare at Aaron. Then Charles broke into laughter, and then George, then Aaron. They ended up celebrating Aaron's ship by goung out for pizza.
This may have been an unusual day, but it was a day for all of them to remember.
About 450 or 500 words. This chapter is so cringy I want to cry.
If Kingleebury is a thing (which it is) then Kinglee should be a thing too.
