The great pestilence (Plague Doctor Reader x RWBY)

Chapter 1: Who are you?

It is a dark and rainy night in the City of Vale, a pair of atlas soldiers stand guard at the front gate of Vale. Off in the distance stands a dark silhouette of a man wearing Victorian-era clothing. He approached the guards standing by the entrance. As your approach, your mask remains hidden within the shadow of your hat.

Guard 1: Halt! state your business

Y/n: I have come to request entrance into the city

Gaurd 1: Very well. let me see your papers      

You hand them the papers. After a few moments, the guard noticed he couldn't see your face.

Guard 1: I need to see your face in order to let you in.

You then walk a little further so your "face" can be seen. If the guards were not unsettled before. They are now.

Guard 1: Hey um sir. I mean your actual face 

Y/n: You do not want to see my face. Good sir. 

Guard 1: Well I'm afraid that you'll have to be detained until you want to show us your face.

Y/n: Oh, that will not be necessary. Sir. 

The guard's partner began to cough. He began to cough up blood, his skin began to lose its coloration. He then began to grow large sores on his face and his face paled as he began to cough up chunks of his own lungs. Soon coughing turned into wretching. The guard threw off his helmet showing the other what is happening to him. His eyes where bloodshot. With blood pouring out of his nose and mouth. His skin eventually turned black, his skin then began to fall off in clumps. He then fell onto his back as he was getting eaten alive right in front of his partner's eyes.  Terrified, the Guard look at you and pointed his gun at you.

Guard: S-stay back Y-you monster.

He then shot you square in the chest. Unphased by this. You grab him by the throat with your hand. He was struggling until he stopped suddenly, and went limp in your hand. Soon after, blood began to run out of every orifice on his head. You drop him and enter the city.

Y/n: Such a waste of time and energy. Pity. 

You were soon stalking the shadows, making sure that you could not be seen by others. It eventually stopped raining. As you were crossing an ally way. You heard footsteps. You then hide behind a nearby corner and peered at them from a distance. You could sense evil within them, so you followed this group to a shop called "From Dust Till Dawn". They enter and point guns at the helpless old man. You then walked towards the shop until one of the heathens came crashing through the window.

Ruby POV 

I was getting up after launching that crook through the window. When I tilted my head up. My eyes meet a very unnerving figure. A very tall man with a creepy mask.

Ruby: Woah! W-who are you?

The strange man doesn't reply. Instead, he takes out a sword hidden within his cane and stands next to me. Oddly he smells like mint and an assortment of other herbs.

Small time skip

As I and the stranger finished off the last crook. We look over to see the head criminal scurrying up the latter. I look over to notice that the stranger was gone, I look further and see him disappear into the shadows.

*You know what happens from here on out* 3rd pov

It is initiation day for the new students of Beacon Academy. The atmosphere is relatively joyful for the most part.

As for you. You are mopping throughout the emerald forest searching for answers. Amidst your thoughts, a Grimm jumps out at you, but you just simply tap its head, putting it down. The Grimms reaction fascinated you. You then take out your journal and take note of this sudden advancement.

'It appears this creature of evil origins has the most astonishing reaction to the Pestilence. It seems as though the body of the creature immediately rots then melts at a much faster pace when exposed to the slightest amount of dosage given, will need a corpse or at the very most a living specimen to further expand my findings'    

You proceeded to walk around until you heard a female voice calling out someone's name. You make your way to the voice to find a young lady. Most likely in her late teens with lilac eyes and blonde hair.

Yang's POV 

Yang: Ruby!?........RRRRUUUUBBBYYYY!!!

I then hear a twig snap. I look over to see a man in all black under a tree. actually, it was unnerving. What made it even worse is that he just stood there staring at me. 

Yang: Hey! Mister! Have you seen a little girl wearing red and black!? She has a very hyper personality!?

 He didn't answer. He just kept looking at me. Until I felt warm breathing hit the back of my neck. I turn around to see an Ursa. We fight for a few minutes until I managed to kill it. I then look to where the stranger was only to find he was gone. I turn back around only to meet with the most creepy face I've ever seen. I stumble backward and fall on my butt. I then noticed that he was observing the Grimm. He would poke it with his cane every few seconds or so. He then took out a scalpel and cut open its side were the lungs would be. Whoever or whatever this guy is. He surely gives me the creeps. When he cut open its side, blood shot out everywhere. He then proceeded by cutting the ribs and pulling out the left lung. 

I couldn't watch anymore. I began to gag and nearly wretched at the smell. He took notice of this and dropped the lung, it vaporized and so did the corpse. He then slowly approached me and back me into the tree.

Y/n: Excuse me. Mad'am. Do you feel alright?

Yang: Y-yes I am alright. 

Y/n: Are you sure? Ma'dam. I can be of assistance. I am a Doctor. What is your Name?

Yang: Y-yang, W-what is yours?

The man didn't answer, instead, we heard someone coming. When I looked over to see who it was and looked back he was gone.

 Blake the emerged from the bushes.

Blake POV

I heard some fighting and came over to investigate. When I came out of the brush I see Yang against a tree with wide eyes and a face paler than paper.

 Blake: Yang? What happened? 

Yang: I.......I......... Don't.......... Know.
