Dear readers:

This is the start of my come back. I've revised the plot loopholes for The Tears of Cinderella (Gareth's Story) and Vermillion's Kiss (Ares's Story). Sa wakas nagsabay na ng timeline ang dalawang nobela.

This is a brand new chapter for Vermilion's Kiss. Never had I released it before.

Let us follow the cat and mouse chase of Valerie and Prince Ares once more.

Your comments will give me fire to continuously update. So please leave your comments!

Truly yours,

Alexis Snow

Valerie was clenching the dogtag that Ares had given her.

She was still dazed and confused when she returned to the main hall. What was the man thinking? Bakit niya ibibigay rito ang isang bagay na mahalaga para rito?

He looked so sincere earlier. She was caught off guard. That was very unlikely for a man of his ranks to do.

Baka naman talagang nakokosensya ito? Tanong niya sa kanyang sarili habang naglalakad sa kanyang upuan.

She was good at reading people, and never in her entire life had she anticipated Prince Ares's reaction.

That was, unless there was a trap he laid out for her to catch Vermilion.

It's definitely one possibility... or, maybe she was just overthinking.

Either way, she needed to act fast. Their plans were on full swing. They could not afford any hindrance.

She went to her designated seat at the end of the catwalk. She peeked through her mother-of-pearl wristwatch. The fashion-show was about to start in five minutes.

She slid the dogtag inside her purse then she fished out her smart phone.

She dialed Jenny's number.

"Hi Jen. Everything, ready?" she said.

"Yep, Val. All is ready," Jenny responded.

"Just make sure everyone is in their position, including all the models. Not a single mistake for tonight's affair. Clear?" she said.

It was a cryptic message. She actually meant if Brienna and Wallace were already in position.

"Yes, they are, Val. We are just waiting for our cue."

"Good." She said in dismissal. The message was clear. Everyone was on their places, awaiting for the right moment to strike.

She slid the phone inside her purse and waited for the show to start.

A wry smile formed on her lips. This may be the easiest assignment they had.

"Lhara. How's the status?" Ares said through the receiver of their private line.

Police superintendent Lhara was in Boreas Palace guarding the real painting.

"Everything is clear, Sir. No signs of Vermilion," she said.

"Any signs of unusual activities?" he inquired.

"No, Sir. Not a single trace of infiltration. Everything was cleared."

"Good," that's the last thing he said before he dropped the phone call.

He was sitting inside this massive vault inside the Glacius hotel. He was patiently waiting for Vermilion. He knew the thief will show up here in this spot.
