Valerie watched the gentle snow as it daintily fell against Asphodel's skyline. She could see the whole city from where she stood. Kaiba sa Camelot ang lugar na iyon. Camelot's skyline always seemed to converge with the glamour of the Capital's city lights. Whereas here, the darkness of the night consumed the light of city.

The thick snow added a breeze of loneliness. It was if the glaciers were emanating the cold fury of the northern thaw.

Asphodel truly mirrored the darkness and loneliness in her heart. The breath of the winter air could be very unforgiving.

Idinampi niya ang kanyang mga palad sa salamin ng bintana. Despite the thickness of the glass, she could still feel the coldness outside.

She was suddenly melancholic. Her mom always said that the first day of snow was magical. Kaya noong mga bata pa sila, palagi niyang inaabangan ang unang pagpatak ng niyebe. Ayon kasi sa ina, magkakatotoo ang kahit na anong hilingin niya, that the Snow Fairy will always be there to grant it. She actually believed her then, but now, she knew better. Because after their gruesome deaths, she prayed and wished the gods in the heavens and the fairies of the snow to bring them back to her. But everything was pointless. They were gone. All that's left was vengeance.

"The Sunset Pavilion will be ours," she said with conviction.

"We understand, Val," sagot ni Aimee.

She immediately faced her family. All of them had gathered in her hotel room to discuss their possible plan to get the painting.

"Is it safe to lay out our plans here," tanong ni Brienna.

"I already took care of the CCTV. I jammed it."

"Good job, Wallace," naghigh-five si Jenny rito.

Naupo siya sa isang bakanteng sofa. She crossed her legs and grabbed a glass of whiskey.

"The painting is in the Glacius Hotel, but we do not know where," wika niya bago nito nilagok ang alak. The alcohol left a trail of fire in her throat.

"The whole place is huge, saan tayo unang maghahanap?" Jenny asked to the crowd.

Maging siya ay napaisip. Baron Wilhelm Neighworth was a crude art collector. She very well knew that he had his personal vault to keep his collection. But the million dollar question was, where the hell was it?

Inilatag ni Wallace ang floor plan ng Glacius Hotel sa mesa.

"I keep on studying this, kahit nang bago pa tayo makarating sa Asphodel, But I really cannot find any vaults in this building," Wallace frustratingly said.

Mariin niyang titigan ang makapal na blue-print. The hotel was fifty storeys high. She began to flip through the pages. She scanned every floor.

Tama si Wallace, wala nga ni isang vault na nakainstall sa lugar.

"Maybe the plan is outdated, baka pinalagyan na lamang niya ng vault after magawa ang building," Brienna deduced.

"You got a point there, but regardless, we're still back to square one, nasaan ito?" Jenny rebutted.

The room was shrouded with deafening silence.

"I guess we just need to find out," she suddenly said.

Dahan-dahan siyang tumayo mula sa kinauupuan. She took her shoulder back and went to the mirror to retouch.

"And where are you going?" tanong ni Wallace.

"I'll be surveying the place to look for clues."

"Mabuti nga iyan, that way we'll have any leads."
