Chapter 13

The sand stuck to his face while the blood dripped down his chin. His eye was blue and he had a three inch gash going diagonally across his broken face. He collapsed onto the ground next to Emily and held her hand. They stared into each others eyes and she brushed her hair away from her eyes. It started drizzling cool Hampton's rain. They were both speechless.

She had been called a coward by Daniel, her soon to be husband for the second time. She was broken even more than when Aiden died and now her father has returned. Soon everyone will find out that David Clarke is alive and he has returned to his prodigal daughter. He has returned for vengeance.

'Dad' Emily cooed.

'Amanda' He replied.

'What happened" She asked.

'Conrad Grayson, he is after us.' He cried.

'Why? What did you do?' She sounded angry.

'I slept with Victoria.' He said shamefully.

'What! Are you out of your mind!?' He yelled.

'Just listen Amanda! Please! Its not what you think, I have returned to help you get your revenge.'

'I don't need your help! If you wanted to help me so badly then why did you fake your own death?'

'I had to, Conrad was planning to kill me himself' He explained.

'Then why didn't you come earlier!' She screamed.

'I thought you had died!'

'That was Emily Thorne! My best friend, my sister! She had to die because of you!' Tears were pouring down her face.

'I'm so sorry' He apologized.

They both broke down in tears and forgot about everything that was happening around them and they embraced each other for the first time in years.

They let each other go and stared again.

'David Clarke?' Daniel's voice echoed around the beach.
