Marco had been talking with his newfound friend about what they'd be expecting about their new home. And all Charlie had to say was "I don't know, but you're in for one hell of a ride". And it did nothing but confuse the latino and poke his brain with a wooden stick.

They'd been driving for quite sometime now, but usually traffic in Echo Creek wasn't this bad, Marco thought. But it's either that, or it's just because of the fact that he wasn't much of a social person back then. The boy knew, that it was going to be a long journey, to wherever they where supposed to go, but Charlie and the other boy, Scott Finch, another friend of Charles, and a few other students that they are now on good terms with, would be providing each other company for the rest of the trip. Something that Marco really enjoyed, in fact, everyone in the vehicle seemed to be friendly with each other, for they knew, whether they'd like it or not, that they are now what's left of what they would consider, family. But during their conversation, Marco could hear the others saying things along the lines of:

"When's the jump gonna happen?"

"You think the new kid could handle it?"

"Can't wait to see Mewni"

Jump? Handle what? What's Mewni? All these questions played with Marco's mind like a cat with a ball of string. But he shrugged it off, knowing that time will reveal everything, and went back to their conversation, in which they were currently talking about their lives.

Now Charles Townsend, or Charlie, wasn't of nobility. He only said that he was raised in a farm, that made good scratch, and went to school like anybody else. But for a boy that was raised in a farm, definitely looked like he was more than what his life actually offered, no that he was dirt poor. His smooth skin proved a good match for his blue eyes and light blonde hair, something that most girls would probably chase after. And with a calm and smooth voice, probably made for singing songs, made him more irresistible to his opposite, or same gender if one would. He even said that he was here the same reason as Marco.

Now Scott Finch, or Scotty, has a more, different story. A boy who was actually raised in a family of wealthy people, decided that a life of being served by maids and butlers, having everything sort out for you, expected to be this, expected to be that, wasn't his type of life. Apparently, he had a quarrel with his parent's with him saying he wanted to serve in the military, in which his parent's didn't approve of. Time went by, and his parents finally decided that they needed to show him a bit o reality, and off to this school he went. But not after leaving with a tearful goodbye. He claimed that he would prove them wrong that he could actually take care of his own without support from servants everyday, to which his parents said that he already did. His looks were much more different though. Even though he had the same complexion as charlie. one could actually see the hue of brown in his eyes and had apple green hair. Marco was baffled that a "military" school would allow that kind of stuff, but shook the thought off.

Finally after getting out of traffic and coming to a road where seemingly no one was around for miles, which probably took them hours to get to, they went to a complete stop. Marco asked everybody around what was going on. Did they have a flat tire? Problem with the engine? But all the other boys could say with a mutual and comforting smile that "you're not gonna like this".

"All right boys, you know the drill, get ready for hyperdrive", Officer Victor stood infront of them before returning to his seat as soon as he said those words.

"Hyper-what?" was all Marco could say before he found himself bound in the seat with roller coaster like seat-belts. "What the hell is gong on?" Marco shouted out loud. A few others held sympathetic looks, others let out a mutual and also sympathetic laugh, others just looked at him with a reassuring smile that said 'everything is gonna be alright'. "Hang on!" a boy from the back said to him, while Charlie shook his shoulder lightly and Scotty sported a huge grin, feeling sorry for the boy. What happened to them the first time "this" was gonna happen, was probably as bad as Marco would think of it.
