Marco had finally arrived on Mewni. By the name itself, Marco thought that it was a fairy tail kingdom with bigger-than-life castles, unicorns everywhere, basically a world full of rainbows and cupcakes. Rather it was a more futuristic world. Flying cars, robots and other machinery, holographic displays, futuristic clothing, and basically, everything that is out-of-reach from human acquisition for the next millennia.

"Whoa, I-it's, amazing" Marco said, totally left there in complete awe and wonder. Never in his life he'd thought he would be able to witness such beauty, even if it meant getting abducted from his home. But the lieutenant said earlier during the ride, that he WAS to be enrolled in the battle school. So he definitely had a reason to be there.

"I know kid, but it gets boring the longer you stay here, which would be a, year" the officer went to Marco after the kid had explored a little bit. "C'mon, we best be going now" Apollo said as he held Marco by the back and walked to their destination. "Wait where exactly are we going". "To the terminals so you can board the cruisers to go to the school itself" the officer explained, which somewhat confused the latino. "Wait, why can't we just use the car to get to the place we need to go to? Plus, where exactly is the school?" the kid asked. "Sorry kid, even though we're ranked officials of the government of Mewni, entrance is exclusive to Space cruisers only. And the academy is located up, there" Apollo said as he pointed to the sky, and Marco looked up to what he knew was, "Outer Space?". "Exactly, and the ships you're going to be riding is the only way in and out of the institution". "Well, that's good to know".

After what seemed like minutes of walking, they finally reached a building to what looked like a futuristic airport. "Why didn't we just park the car here, rather than walking that far?" Marco asked, somewhat irritated. But the officer replied in a calm manner, due to his caring nature, "Well just thought you could use the exercise. Plus, we had more time to discuss things you wanted to know". Marco nodded and said, "Well, you got a good point" causing Apollo to smile, and the kid to laugh as well. And then they entered the terminal.

As soon as they got inside, Marco saw that the place was bustling with life. It's been only a few times, ever since Marco had been to an "airport", but this was a whole new dimension, so this experience was totally new for him. Right then and there, as they were walking to the gate for the cruisers, he spotted a snack bar, and he didn't even thought there would be such here, but didn't care because he got totally hungry during the ride. But what weirded him out was, that even the signs were written in English. "Hey, how come even the signs here are written in English?" Marco asked Apollo, and pointed to the lunch counter on the side, also implying that he wanted to grab a bite. Both of them stopped and the Apollo explained, "Well not to be racially discriminating or anything, you might not know it, but Earth's English actually came from us, Mewnians" he said, and the kid nodded in response. "Hey can i like, grab a bite over there?". "Alright, here's some Money, on the house. They wouldn't take your currency anyway" Apollo said as he handed over, to what Marco thought was more than enough, money to buy food. "Hey isn't this too much?" the latino asked, somewhat worried. Apollo replied with a smile and said, "Don't worry about it. And as soon as you're done, i want you to head over to 'Gate 8', you can ask anybody here for questions" the officer said as he held out his hand to Marco's shoulder. "G-gee, thanks lieutenant" the kid said shyly, while rubbing his back. "Hey you have nothing to worry about, i treat my students in a much more compassionate manner, just like a parent to his kid" he said, and with those words, Marco definitely felt like he's back home.

The two parted ways, and Marco headed to the food court. He then went to the counter and was greeted by the worker, "Hey kid, what can i get ya'?", it was somewhat cheerful, not something you'd expect back on Earth. "Uhh, yeah, can i get one of, uhh, whatever that is?" he said pointing to what he was referring to, but the worker quickly understood what he meant. "Oh, you mean, a hotdog?" she asked, and Marco just hit himself in the face. "Umm, y-yeah, sorry bout' that" was all he said, seemingly embarrassed. "Hey, it's alright. You're not from around here are you?" the lady patiently asked as she prepared Marco's food. "Uhh, yeah, it's actually my first time here. I'm from Earth by the way" Marco said, as he somewhat introduced himself to the lady. "Oh from Earth are you? It's rare for me to see someone from there here, but anyways, welcome to Mewni" the lady said, which made her customer smile, and she handed over Marco's food. "Woah that was quick" the kid commented on the service which made the lady chuckle. "Well, Mewnians are fast workers, but anyways, here you go, enjoy your meal" the lady finally said as Marco grabbed his food and paid up, and bid farewell to the sweet woman.

Along the way to 'Gate 8', he took a bite from his food and took a sip from his drink, and it was totally delicious. Marco had already finished eating, but he had still not arrived on his destination. So he threw his trash to the bins, and asked the near security guard for directions.

"Hey, officer, can i know which way is Gate 8?" Marco asked shyly, but the guard responded kindly anyways. "Oh, so you're a new student for the I.D.B.A?" the guard asked, and the kid already knew what the man was referring to. "Umm, yeah, h-how'd you know?". "Well, that gate is exclusive to students and personnel of the school only, but anyway. You'd want to go straight down the hall, take two lefts, then a right, simple as that" the man said as he pointed to the directions of the gateway. "Thank you sir" he said as the guard smiled and replied, "Hey, no problem. And good luck to you kid" the guard said as they waved each other farewell. And in a few minutes, he had reached his destination, and saw Apollo waiting for him in the entryway.

"Sorry it took long" Marco apologized, but Apollo disregarded it anyways. "No worries, here get dressed" the lieutenant said as he handed over Marco a bag. "What's this?". "It's your uniform, don't worry, it adjusts to the users size, so it would be a perfect fit. Go to the bathroom and get dressed, hand me over your bag and take this" Apollo said as he handed Marco over a bag, and took the one that Marco was holding, and the kid then went into the bathroom to get ready.

A few minutes had gone by, and Marco had finished wearing the uniform. And as soon as the clothing had covered up his body, it contracted to the size which made the kid feel comfortable. And seconds later, the suit lit up in a white color, like what you would see from the movie 'Tron'. But that's an easier description, the author really hated long descriptions anyway.

But see what i did there? I just broke 'the fourth wall', and that's like, more than one wall. But, let's get back to the story...

Marco examined himself correctly, from the black colored cloth, to the white colored lighting, he was more than impressed. Then he noticed a word written in the left breast part of his uniform, and it said, "M. Diaz", which made the kid chuckle. "Huh, they really did plan this for me".

Moments later, he went out of the room, to talk to Apollo again. "Nice look kid, it suits you", the lieutenant said, and the latino smiled in response. The officer then reached into the pocket of his suit, grabbed a card, and gave it to Marco. "Here you're gonna need this for entrance there in the cruiser. It also has your seat number", the officer continued as he handed over the card to Marco. "Just walk down that hallway, and you'll meet another officer, like me. Just say, 'Cadet', then your last name. Oh and try to salute to other officers when talking to them would you?", Apollo informed Marco as the kid simply nodded.

The teen then stared down the empty and silent hallway, looking at the path, 'to a new life'. Just then, Apollo put his hand on Marco's shoulder, "Don't worry about it kid, you're gonna do fine". "Y-you think so?", the latino asked. Apollo then laughed softly and said, "I know so", he finally said as he took his hand off Marco. "Hey, thank you, for all of this. I never thou-", he cut himself off as he saw the lieutenant was gone,  gone with the crowd.

Marco then looked back at the hallway, took a deep breath and said, "No turning back now", he whispered to himself as he walked towards the gateway, not looking back at the busy crowd, nor where he came from...
